Could be the apparent compulsion to constantly rain on other people's parades about it rather than being deflated by your own pessimism that's the difference between pessimism and a bit off. Its a bit like someone glorifying in saying "Told you we wouldn't win anything" repeatedly under Keegan and Sir Bobby to me. I don't think it will happen, based only on this being NUFC but I'm deflated about that not giddy. Having two threads is like checking a few different news channels and coming to your own conclusion about something. Being as I don't think it'll happen, this is the one for me. I like the hope to balance out what I instinctively already think

It isn't so much his utter loser mentality as its his utter blissful satisfaction to wollow in the lazy cop-out of being a loser that narks. Just getting paid millions in his self-professed dream job. Bare minimum manager at the bare minimum club.

That was the sting in the tail with Dalglish for me. I think most us were resigned to Tino and Ginola not being his cup of tea, though Les would have been a good bet to stay but I could live with the money at the time, giving Dalglish more credit than he deserved to reinvest and replace them. I forsaw Colin Hendy, Tim Flowers, Brian Laudrup and John Collins coming in, admittedly less attractive but maybe under Dalglish better fits and grew to accept it. Not Tomasson, Andersson, Ketsbaia, Hamilton, Pistone and co.

Massively wrong on every count. Suppose its in his interest to keep the charade going and prolong our cannon fodder status. In light of his poor landlordship has Steve Hoose been suggested? Maybe in the archives on account of his shape.

I'm the same. Tomasson was slow on the ground and slow in the mind and not capable of contributing anything outside the penalty area. Dalglish buying both Tomasson and Andersson could only really be beat by someone signing Joelinton twice for poor transfer marketedness.

Aye a 0-3 forfeit would be a drastic improvement than if we actually played the game. A true win-win.

Masters has presided over project big picture, the blocking of hundreds of millions of pounds of investment into the north-east, the breakaway and all these ramifictions. Parliament's got to be wondering what kinda of p*ss pot outfit he's running and ask him to stand down surely, it may just be aesthetic but often someone would fall for this. But he seems to have an Ashley-esque slimy teflon ability to wriggle out of all this.

finicky really but Teams in Europe don't play in that years league cup - with the possible exception of the holders. No national anthems and other pretentious faff at friendlies. Can't own multiple clubs.

Could fill an entire page of Viz's old 'celebrity c*nts' by himself this c**t

Dont bother asking why we're so desperate for the PIF or why Man United fans are so angry. Must be for no reason at all, so just blame the fans.

So much trouble caused by this ESL and so little punishment for it

To that point, just now Ben, Newcastle fan, on Radio 5. Happy a stand has been taken because of..... kick-off times. Friday nights and 3pm kick offs, "this shouldn't have been played at 4.30 on a Sunday it should have been played at 3pm on a Saturday"!?! Not mentioned Ashley once. Man U v Liverpool's been anything but a 3pm kick-off since before Sky. Our "fans" and 5 live scathing of the Man U fans then put on a trail for a programme called 'Gangster' literally gloryifying someone from Salford who rose to be a crime lord.

Its very dreamy but if the Saudi's wrestled it from Ashley it could be sold in to anybody thereafter theoretically (maybe part fan ownership, or more palatable people), whilst Ashley will only sell to these. So absolutely.
-
I want rid of Mike Ashley and the Saudi's are the only trojan horse that can do it. So maybe you can have both. We can't get the club back without firstly getting rid of Ashley.

"Justice is done. Not actual justice, but what I wanted to happen, which is basically the same thing." Jeremy (Peep Show)/football
-
Spookily familiar. *apart from stadium improvements happening after they took over, but planned earlier, we haven't even had that from our pig
-
If you look at it through the prism of us not really being a football club anymore, its a little clearer, especially Joelinton coming on.
-
Another absolutely abominable utterly dominated disgrace typical Bruce performance
-
Top to bottom, nobody at the club can be bothered, its an absolute chore to have to go through the motions of completing these remaining games. That's the clubs attitude. Disgusting c**t that it is.

Aye. There's having your spirit broken, its having your spirit broken and paying and condoning the person who did it that I can't fathom.

Pretty much every Italian club before and after Italia 90 was successful after stadium expansions, new stadiums. Blackburn arguably. Won the league the year their rebuild was complete. Pretty strong in two of the next three seasons but then they went down too. Reading - much better profile/status post Madjeski than before same docile atmosphere though. They used to herald it as a bright new dawn but seemed more like a curse starting with Millwall. But nobody mackems, Boro, Chesterfield, Derby Southampton, Bolton, Notts County (total rebuild) was any different with new stadiums than they were before and all (with the exception of Derby) were swiftly relegated. After the first few where I though "oh these could be contenders now" it just came off like someone's getting a boring new ground and nothing more.

Al Ahyl v Zamalek used to bring in referees from outside the country back as far back as the 80s it was that fierce. Decades before Roma Lazio did it, if were looking for a passionate experience. (courtesy of 'The Worlds Game' programme circa 1990) I still think the Azteca is my favourite stadium. And feel the same about pretty much any old stadium before it goes cos all my romance for football has gone on the new ones mean nothing. Wanted to go to all the USA 94 stadiums but several are gone and/or changed beyond recognition now. Verona's Bentegodi and Montpellier's (if its still as was from the 90s) are probably the only grounds left and/or unchanged in Europe I'd like to go to that I haven't been to now sadly. Was quite a few Prater Stadium, Lehen stadium in Austria, San Mames in Bilbao.

He' seems to have Luke Edwards levels of obsessive desperation for this not to happen that being a mackem wouldn't justify.

and the only time anybody out side this region cares is when something may end all that. Seemed to pick up recently, lot of worried trolling from anti-takeover types seemed to be a case of protesting too much to many of us who weren't thinking anything was happening, but back to nowt again it seems. Billy Joel could write another We Didn't Start The Fire about stuff that's happened since this all started.

The greedy smelly thing rolls over and gets its belly tickled whenever it goes to Old Trafford. Dunno about the dog.
