I don't think it's necessary anymore. Why’s it not? I'm just hypothesising. From what I heard he was due on a PR warpath this week if things remained the same. I think he's getting the answers and reassurances he wants. Just to let you all know, this is fourth hand information (Stavely, Caulkin, ****, then me) I'm getting. It's very succinct and not very wordy at all. Nobody is sending me updates on this, I'm actively pestering people who aren't really interested in this On a Thursday and Friday my partner works closely with a friend of Caulkin's. I will post the updates here and you can choose to believe what I'm hearing, or not. I mentioned this in a WhatsApp group with a couple of people from here yesterday, but the mad smiley I put in here was a genuine error. I was looking through the smileys while p*ssed and when I woke up the next day I had a couple of private messages on here and other places. I didn't have the heart to say anything. Anyway, nothing new since my last post. But if it is as you said before - Staveley and the PL are in talks x 10 than before.. then this should take days/weeks?

I doubt that. Steve Nickson has scouted him since 2014. Emil Krafth has said he knew about the club’s interest and that they have been scouting him for the last 2-3 years. It is a Nickson signing. Nickson highly recomended him to Steve Bruce (who then convinced Lee Charnley to spend some extra millions on him).
-
That’s not true though. Which bit? Recruited via a company/agent.
-
That’s not true though.
-
Sure. But was scouted for 5 years before Bruce was appointed, but yeah, Bruce probably gave his ok to the deal. Bruce convinced Lee Charnley to spend some extra millions on him.
-
Yes, no doubt about that. I was very surprised when we signed him. Very limited player.

Has been on Steve Nickson’s transfer list since 2014 when he scouted Emil Krafth in Sweden. Fair to say it’s Nickson’s signing? Rafa finally left so he could sign him? Krafth says: - very impressed with ASM. - Steve Bruce is a nice guy. - he thinks Bruce wants to ”improve as a manager” and that he wants to play the ball on the ground more often. - Krafth wants NUFC to play more possession-based football. - he was not fit when he came here. Didn’t had a full pre-season with Amiens. - feels he’s playing in the wrong position. (Even though he said RWB was his best position when he arrived...)

What did Edgar say?

I’m not even sure what’s semi-serious these days or a complete p*ss take, I probably need a break from here and Twitter Hehe yes. But it’s true he said it.

Olivier Bernard says he’s been told by a good source that the takeover will happen today. He’s 80% confident...

What ”things” are going to be going slower? I think the PL's priority is getting the season restarted and any background checks etc are going to take longer. Staveley was told the PRL test could take up to 4 weeks. We are now in the fourth week. You think the takeover will happen this week. And that doesn’t include ”a few days” to transfer the money from the buyer to the seller. So basically it’s not going slower because of the lockdown. It won't all be in PL hands though will it. They'll have to apply to police or whoever to confirm they're not crime, apply to whoever else to verify they're not and have never been banko. Banks will presumably need to verify funds and so on. It's entirely likely that the current circumstances will make that s*** take much longer than normal. You are missing the point. If the test ”could take up to 4 weeks” and you think the takeover will be completed in 4 weeks, what is slowing it down then? Nothing as it was expected to take up to 4 weeks.
-
What ”things” are going to be going slower? If everyone is working from home, it's pretty reasonable to assume that normal checking procedures have been disrupted somewhat? Staveley was told ”up to 4 weeks” and this is the fourth week. Neesy111 thinks it will be done this week. The fourth week. So what is slowing it down then if it was expected to take 4 weeks?

We will most likely know by the end of next week. George Caulkin said he was told last weekend that the PRL test could be done in the middle of the week (Wednesday last week) and after that it will take ”a few days” to transfer the money.

Yes and people are still buying it. Cant really blame anyone for being sceptical at the time It seems as if it's all but done right now, but somehow i still know it's Newcastle United we're talking about. I'm sure the sun will stop shining, because Covid-19 doesn't seem to be enough, even though it's insane that a pandemic is what needed to happen for it to get this far. You can be sceptical without attacking other forum members, laughing at them and saying how stupid they are. We could also go back to the numerous takeovers in the past and point out that people fell for them, but it's pointless and really rather sad. Yes you do that if you want. But it’s not the same thing.

Chill. With this week it’s been 4 weeks. The PRL test could take up to 4 weeks. Then the transfer of money is ”a few days” so this could drag on to next week.
