Waste of an evening this, just not feeling it. It'll probably just serve as a forewarning to our players of how much we'll get humped in the league cup final. (the conspiracy theorist in me is hoping it's all part of an Eddie masterplan to lull the scousers into a false sense of security by being pap tonight and not having Isak along)

So, how far reaching does the compensation go? It's one thing to say there's potentially a level of fee missed out on through blocked sponsorship deals, but would it also affect something like having to have sold players of potential, at a loss, or just selling them full stop, when they could have provided better cover for an already thin squad, due to books needing to be balanced on PSR rules? Rules which potentially wouldn't have been anywhere near to being breached had we been allowed to put a higher paying sponsor in place? Or is that pushing it?

I told you, this season, it's all fixed for media and FA darlings Liverpool to get as much help as possible, the league title was decided ages ago, the refs have been briefed to do what they can for anything else.

Yup, I think we're going to need to be at our very best to beat Liverpool, plus I get the feeling they're more of a darling to the FA and officials than us. On the upside at least, if they win the league as well, the UEFA Conference coming our way by default wouldn't be so bad... unless we miraculously manage a Champions League spot. The other thing is that I think I'd feel less aggrieved at losing to the current Liverpool team in the final, than a slip up against Spurs, so all in all, if we look at it negatively and assume we'll lose, there's at least 'some' silver linings there. ... that said, I'd much rather we gubbed the bin dipping, thieving gypo bastards though

With all the fantastic, futuristic looking building projects that have sprung up in Saudi over the past few years, I'm hoping we'd go for something a little bit different, maybe with lots of mirrors or such. Then again, with the weather in the UK as unpredictable as it is in the winter months, it'd need to have a nice, flowing, aero-dynamic take, otherwise it'd get battered during storms.

Kind of leaves us a bit light on depth though with these two going doesn't it? Or are we going to rely on youth players if the need comes? I mean, I know neither have had much game time recently, but it doesn't leave many options if we get any injuries for the second half of the season, especially with supposedly pushing for Europe and cup finals. Mind you, not like the first team have shown much in the last couple of games...
