Same argument all dribbling idiots like him use, including the ones that have been on here over the years:

Acting like criticism of their opinion is the same thing as saying they can't have an opinion.

Usually paired with them saying other people should shut up/leave the country if they don't like something that they do.

And it's never difficult to out them as being hypocrites.

Get this man running for a Tory seat in a conservative stronghold, he’s not able to do enough damage on Twitter alone

With every tweet you can see why England managers weren't ever keen to have him around. And why no club ever took him from Southampton.

Would it be fair to suggest that Everton won't be spending vast amounts this summer? And if so, will possibly need to raise a few funds from outgoings?

I think they'll get away with the stuff from the last three years and be broadly allowed to spend what they want this summer.

What even IS their best XI? Anyone want to have a go?

Aside from Phillips, Catts4me and Hewlio Arca I can't even think who they'd try to pick.

(Well, apart from Adam Johnson obviously )

    Bally. Obviously.

Their geography arguments for fan bases baffles me.

On one hand they will say that someone living in North Shields/Whitley Bay, Gateshead, and even Byker have no right to support us because it’s not in Newcastle. Let’s not forget their ‘Newcastle airport isn’t in Newcastle’ line.

However they will argue to the end that everyone in Durham should be supporting them.

Imagine thinking that someone who lives so close to SJP that they see it every time they look out of the window shouldn’t support NUFC, yet someone in Spennymoor should have a season ticket at the SOL.

From what I've read Ashworth isn't that involved in actual recruitment. He's more the bloke who gets those in charge of the different aspects to work together.

Funny to think that this time last year Charnley was responsible for all of those jobs.

To be fair, even Bruce had a 'system' it was just written with a pen from a betting shop on a receipt from a service station.

It doesn't necessarily mean complex or even successful. Rather, under Lampard, defenders play much higher up the field and they're asked to build out from the back. That's easier said than done as shown by the contrasting fortunes of Van Dijk and Maguire. The issue under him is compounded by the fact he often leaves his defenders open and facing 1v1 situations as we saw at Chelsea.

I just don't see him as having any sort of managerial identity at all other than being not very good.

If they're relegated they absolutely are fucked financially. It's a stay of execution in many ways.

Their first team squad is chronically bloated. We're talking like almost 45 players involved this season. They should save about £12m in wages when Gylfi Sigurdsson, Fabian Delph, and Cenk Tosun leave but I'd imagine any available money (before further departures) will be funnelled into central defenders. Yerry Mina isn't bad but he's injury prone. Then you have the English quartet of Ben Godfrey, Michael Keane, Jarrad Branthwaite, and Mason Holgate. It's debatable if any of that group are good enough, let alone good enough to play in a Frank Lampard system.

I've no idea why Lampard is so highly rated, and now I'm supposed to believe he has a system.

Or to provide an smidgeon of respectability about him before he sells Chelsea

Seems a long time ago that he was gifting it for free to the charity trustees, doesn't it?

Big fan of the lad suggesting that the Athletic article "shows how much the mags overpaid."

You're talking about "one of the most respected posters on the board" there marra.
