  1. A private company putting out a statement with their own verdict of guilt (or not) sets a worrying precedent imo. Their 'verdict' should be irrelevant. Private courts already exist and are used by private companies in the U.S with legally binding verdicts (see the Steven Donziger case) Anyway, the club couldn't appear more obviously profit motivated if they tried and that statement is about as backhanded as it gets. It's so obviously done in such a vague way to avoid litigation, protect assets and stock value, and be as PR friendly as possible. They might have succeeded with the first two, if they're lucky they have with the stocks prices, but they've completely failed on the PR, the bit that obviously matters to them least.
  2. That city's clubs aren't sending their brightest and best are they folks.
  3. It's their own hierarchy tbf, putting us in there might undermine it, but they can do what they want really.
  4. £115m players don't do things like that like Fucking hell
  5. Don't believe everything you read...but do believe everything the club you support says.
  6. If you don't get it, read the bits in bold again and ask if it has applied to Man City for the last 15 or so years. There's your answer. Man City also did themselves try to go to the ESL don't forget. Some fans might have been sound about our takeover but that wasn't unique or anything, in fact on a Liverpool podcast they were talking about how some Man City fans were kicking off about the takeover and highlighting their double standards.
  7. Yes tbh, technicalities happen all the time. Didn't Man City hire people to investigate UEFA, or something along those lines.
  8. Wow, that Brentford pen and red card is a joke. Wtf
  9. If he'd been available we'd have won.
  10. I don't think I've ever wanted a win more. Despite us putting Man United, Spurs, Chelsea, and other high flyers to the sword, Liverpool have somehow shirked form and never come under the knife. This has to be their time.
  11. Without a doubt. They were also better then as well. Down with pre-season basically
  12. If I know Eddie Howe, and I think you'll all agree that I do, he won’t accept that performance and will be looking for a reaction
  13. They really are. Every team trying Tika taka is over thankfully, but yeah they're so boring. And I have said that for years. I say that as someone who thinks Barca 08-15 is the best and most exciting team to watch as well FWIW.

    Fabian Schär

He's brilliant. I thought on this occasion Botman matched up tbf, both of them were class.
  15. That almost 100% of the time wins in those exact circumstances. Don't get me wrong like, I know what you're getting at, they didn't look that impressive and we Underperformed, I'm just trying to remind myself of how far we've come in such a short space of time
  16. Just wish the match was sooner basically. Howe won't be happy with that and I'm expecting him to come all guns blazing
  17. Let's look at it this way. We've lost 1-0 away to Man City and our gripe is that we didn't turn up.
  18. It was a team issue, not a Bruno issue.
  19. You all watched Peep Show aye? Can you remember that scene when Jeff says to Mark "there's no threat from you pal. You could have your cock in her and you still wouldn't have the balls to fuck"? Anyway, we've had a couple of matches where that's come to mind. The league cup final and tonight.
  20. MOTD needs to turn off the 0.3ms spring reverb, it sounds mental
  21. I think my main complaint is that I really didn't think Man City were all that good
  22. I can accept 2 goals to put us through to the league Cup final, but I draw the line at an underpar sub performance against the best team in the world
  23. Basically, if this seasons is a 94/95 rerun, that was the Man United 2-0 loss
