  1. Watching the surfer go up at Wembley was honestly probably the highlight of the final for me. Jaw dropping
  2. I always feel the same after a forum meeting like. Always feel shan because a lot of the time I just continue to know people only by their username as well
  3. Red jumper is my mate Pottsy, he can be my surrogate.
  4. I'm fascinated by these characters like. Sometimes that Sean Casey's on Loaded Mag and I'm certain he believes everything he says like.
  5. There were fans who didn't rate Rafa, Arsenal fans who had an Arsene Out group, there are some Liverpool fans who want FSG out because despite the success they haven’t spent what Man City have. Within 2 years I watched Gareth Southgate go from a hero who transformed a bunch of no-hopers into a zero who's apparently holding back what they now deem once in a lifetime talent. There being fans who don't rate or turn on Howe would be no surprise whatsoever, you can always rely on the most entitled, fairweather know-nowts to shout the loudest and fall back on all criticism of them as being because they have 'a different opinion' Thankfully most of them seem to be on Twitter, which you couldn't pay me to go on.
  6. Loved meeting you Mike, I just wish it had been for longer. Definitely come back again and as I'm sure it's a pricy hobby, I'd be more than happy to be part of a whip round to fund it.
  7. I absolutely hated Webb as a ref, he was fucking awful.
  8. It was an absolutely class set up as well like, I'd love to go there again.
  9. Tool is putting it mildly like He's a murderer afaic
  10. I know more or less for a fact that this is the case.
  11. Unfortunately yes, that was me (needle scratch) I was fine for ages then it hit me like a train and I was a write off, basically. Daft of me really, but it's probably for the best I went to sleep though because I could feel myself getting (more) annoying. Similar to you, I went to bed at 8pm and woke up at 5.
  12. Even the other way around as well, with Trippier at left back.
  13. Yeah, I can't get my head around anyone thinking the atmosphere was anything other than amazing. If you were there I don't doubt you, but I promise you that you all sounded amazing on telly.
  14. Yeah, and by a huge amount as well. The full time whistle summed it up, us singing Geordies just before full time was louder than their celebration moments later.
  15. Can confirm that it came across as the exact opposite on TV
  16. I'm absolutely gutted like, but I can't say it's because of any lack of effort, endeavour, or even performance really. Our players are at their ceilings and I can't ask for more than that. Better players will have higher ceilings. That's the first time I've even seen us compete in a Wembley final, but as soon as Man United scored twice from what felt like their 2% of possession in the first half, it felt like nothing went our way. Even at 2-0 down I felt like we could win if just something went our way, but it never did. Can't say I was angry or frustrated, just sad really. But that's a measure of the already huge achievement of coming from where we were to where we are, we shouldn’t even be here yet. Howe and that team were close to being infinite in Newcastle's history and they all were more than worthy of achieving that, so despite being well ahead of schedule, it's sad that they didn't. So proud of the effort and to see our club so well represented at Wembley by Howe, the staff, the players, the performance, the fans, and Wor Flags. JLA got it spot on about saying that it was like the last day of year 11 with these players in that final, there's definitely an end of The Breakfast Club feeling about this group, like. For a lot of the players and for Howe of course, this is just the beginning, but for others they'll move on and so will we. A lot of those players will have a David Kelly feel about them imo - crucial players in our history who you love and you'd have loved to have stayed and achieved something, but will go hopefully to be replaced by our next Andy Cole or Peter Beardsley. I'm sure once the sadness lifts and we look back on this season, the overriding feeling will be hugely positive. We don't demand a team that wins, we demand a club that tries. We've absolutely got that, but it's not just one that tries, it competes. One thing is for certain in all of this, we're definitely back.
  17. Incidentally I don't suppose anyone took or handed in a denim jacket? It would have been on the setee at the back of the room.
  18. I love him and I don't know exactly what the reason for his form is, whether it's age, form, the world cup, underlying fatigue or injuries, but he's certainly playing like someone who looks like they have covid.
  19. @BlazeT44is a legend for getting this set up. Thank you for everything you sorted out for me and everyone running up to this and on the day. Apologies if anyone else was involved who I haven't thanked. It was brilliant putting some faces to names, seeing some old faces, and meeting people I feel like I've known for years. Great to see Rocker, Dino, Disco, gbandit, Mike and others. Seeing Mike off the forum chatting with my mate Pottsy was such a surreal clashing of worlds that I just started laughing when I saw it. I just wish I'd paced myself better. Two bottles of wine by half time was daft and meant that I was more or less asleep for the second half, had to leave at full time, left my denim jacket, sunglasses, and cap behind, and went to sleep as soon as I got home at 8pm Fucking idiot Again apologies for not saying bye or anything, but you'd have got little sense out of me anyway. It was great to see everyone and we should 100% do it again, bigger and better.
  20. Tbf I was asleep for like 45 minutes but I feel they did nothing
  21. I doubt there'll ever be a more liked post, nor should there be
  22. Don't even know you but would love to be watching the match with you like.
  23. The only potential shock start is Willock over ASM. Honestly, I'd welcome it.
