  1. I would get the reaction to starting Clark if this was remotely winnable like, but I couldn't summon up the energy to care too much when the end result almost certainly wouldn't change anyway.
  2. That's about as 'we're going to rest players for more winnable games' as it gets like.
  3. There's absolutely no chance I'd be in and amongst a crowd like that at the moment, but it even being a decision for fans to have to make is disgraceful like. The matches that have been called off didn't even factor the crowds into the decision. Profit over people as always.
  4. Might need to reassess this with Phillips being out, but it's weird how much has been made of our nightmare run of games in December, when they've had Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, with Liverpool then Villa next.

Apparently Geordies specifically all love gravy As with a lot of things they do, it's just a lower grade version of something we did (cheesy chips and blue pop)
  6. That's different though apparently. In their minds that's something that unites everyone, because we all respect soldiers (with poppies and charity only though) and no one could possibly think it's political, jingoistic, or romanticises war. Successful brainwashing at its finest, getting the majority to care about something, but only enough to think symbolic gestures and charity are the limit of caring, while banging on about virtue signallers when it comes to every other issue.
  7. I haven't. I might give it a go once they've been doing it for a while
  8. Bellamy was just like Dyer and to a lesser extent Jenas IIRC - young, well known talent playing at a lower level (when he was at Norwich and we were after him) I would think there'd have been scouting, but they were well known players.
  9. Have to agree sadly. Andy Brassle has decent things to say but has this deliberation in his speech that comes across as him thinking what he's saying is extremely important and insightful. He pronounces foreign players names with an accent as well, which is always the sign of a wrongun who belongs on Tifo or The Totally Football Show. Jules Breach is great imo, proper breath of fresh air and always in good spirits. Vish is quite witty, Kate Mason is awful and constantly interrupts and Lars never shuts up or has anything interesting to say.
  10. I definitely remember us being after Jeffers, being annoyed that Arsenal got him ahead of us, and being underwhelmed that we'd bought a Division 1 striker who at the time I thought looked about as good as Darren Huckerby. Didn't take long to realise he was really good. I remember more or less everyone being really excited about Robert though.
  11. Remember when he showed off about being liked by his family. Proper Chris Rock 'I take care of my kids' energy
  12. The Football Ramble's the only one I really listen to now, but it's not as good as it used to be. Some of the new presenters are good, some not so good, but it seems like the best episodes by a mile are still when it's as near to a combination of Pete, Marcus, Jim, and Luke as possible.
  13. Wish I could agree with you and would have years ago, but I'm honestly not sure anymore. Some might agree, some might even disagree, but I'd put my mortgage on the majority of them being adverse to saying anything and wanting to 'keep politics out of football'
  14. I've only given it a go since the takeover and find it much more like talking with other fans about Newcastle than the others. It's by no means perfect like but I get a much bigger sense of authenticity from it and its hosts/guests (especially Kris) than I do any of the others, which is a big thing for me.
  15. Give Gallowgate Shots' All With Smiling Faces podcast a go. It's much better, they're all more likeable, and they get decent guests on now and again
  16. So seemingly oblivious to the obvious reasons why he's hated that he doesn't realise his obliviousness is one of the other reasons he's hated. There's something not right with that bloke like, there's something missing in him that other footballers and football fans have.
  17. Didn't he massively push for us to get Aubemeyang before he went to Dortmund as well?
  18. Definitely not an unreasonable assumption like, I just hope they themselves aren't working on opposing assumptions and it's been made crystal clear what the roles are internally.
  19. Seems like a lot of effort to go to for something that can't happen.
  20. Where's this idea that he's here just to do the deals and won't have a say in transfers btw? Just guesswork?

  22. I'd agree tbh, but I think I'd be more surprised if there are any more games beyond this weekend.
  23. WBA fans aren't fans either it seems. He hired Pardew and broke WBA's transfer record (£15m) for Oliver Burke. Haven't really read much anything that suggests this is anything other than a weak appointment tbh.
