  1. Probably because people like Rafa and don't think of entire fanbases as having universal opinions on anything, let alone their opinions on other clubs
  2. Absolute sickener for Arsenal my arse, they've been absolutely shite and should be 4-1 down
  3. Bobbled perfectly for him. Lovely hit.
  4. Presumably that injury just completely ruined Andre Gomes? Still can't believe how quickly he came back from it.
  5. Godfrey should be off, but that aside Everton have been by far the better team.
  6. Paul Stewart looks like he's been drawn by David Squires. Remember watching that FA Cup Final like it was yesterday
  7. Was wondering why everyone was going shhhhhh. Turns out it was like 12 seconds of hailstones
  8. Discuss it on here or don't mention it in the first place. Nowt worse.
  9. It was a no look stamp imo. Knew where he was then very deliberately looked away (unnaturally, which is what I think gives it away) so it would look like an accident.
  10. Personally think Newcastle United lettering on the East Stand backlit or done in a similar way to Everton's Goodison lettering would be class.
  11. Great choice. Finding it hard to think of a better one now tbh. Cisse vs Chelsea maybe, it absolutely blew my mind watching it live.
  12. I mean that's fine if you're speaking for yourself but that's not how I see it. Would be interesting to know what the majority feeling is about it all tbh.
  13. Put it this way, I've never seen anyone either make or drool over photoshops of SJP where the SD signs are just replaced with ones for another company.
  14. It wouldn't be worth it for me nah, not at all. If there's a happy medium where the club gets investment without the sponsorship just replacing all of the SD signs inside SJP then would be ideal, but if they just replace all the existing SD signs with a new sponsor then definitely not. Hopefully it shouldn't be a case of all or nothing.
  15. FFP doesn't dictate that all of those signs would need to be up there like they are with SD though, no? I agree if it's just one, or it's smattered around the place tastefully, but if it's purely like-for-like it's absolutely shit imo and I'll hate it as much as I hated all the SD shite being plastered everywhere. Let's hope it's not.
  16. Possibly an extreme example, but if the big SD signs in the Leazes, Gallowgate, and either side of Newcastle United are just replaced with Visit Saudi (just for example) that's going to be sound with everyone because it'll be paid for? That's hugely eyeopening for me tbh, I always thought the fact Ashley didn't pay for it was a secondary issue to the fact it made SJP look cheap and shit.
  17. It depends on what your main issue with it was I guess. This takeover has definitely shown me that what I thought were the main gripes issues with what Ashley had done to our club and its history and heritage weren't as universally shared as I thought. The fact Ashley didn't pay for his tat emporium sponsorship was purely a side issue for me and until recently I thought most people felt that way too tbh.
  18. Was never the main problem for me personally. Ashley could have paid the going rate and I'd have still been dead against how tacky it all looked and how it pretty much ruined SJP.
  19. If they're all just replaced with one other company the point has been completely missed like.
  20. That's surely from when they were put up? The light and the sky doesn't look like the weather today.
  21. "weeeeeeeeeeey" * Maupay scores *
  22. Looking forward to telling my brother in law he's talking shite
  23. I said to him that it didn't seem like it was like, but he's absolutely adamant that he didn't talk like that at the open mic nights. Wouldn't even dislike him for it anyway tbh, I do exactly the same thing depending on who I'm talking to.
  24. I like Sam Fender and have absolutely no way of knowing whether this is true but my brother in law can't stand him because he used to work open mic nights at Barca in Gosforth and reckons the Geordie accent he has now is massively put on.
