  1. Like I say, going on the defensive over nothing.
  2. Fan experience should have been in inverted commas, I was referring to Ian's post about the fan experience in the U.S
  3. This is exactly it though, a lot of the things you do well many people don't like or want, and consider them as things that would worsen the game and what it means to them to be a football fan.
  4. There's no difference, it's all part of the same stereotypical American hubris that you should be listened to because you do things best. It's actually mad how much that stereotype exists
  5. My guess would be that because purists already generally hate the day out style commercialisation of the game, they look at U.S Sports, see owners from the U.S come over here and shudder at the thought of that side of things getting worse and worse. U.S sports aren't as popular as football, that's no big deal, but I think it rubs people the wrong way when it's suggested that the world's most popular sport could "improve" by adopting aspects of less popular U.S sports, and U.S sports fans then feel the need to get on the defensive when it's mentioned. It tends to be very much a "you" (America) problem, that doesn't come from elsewhere.
  6. I love how pundits go on like Ronaldo's external to how shit Man United are.
  7. Cheers everyone. Got everything I needed.
  8. Keep going lads, hoping to get some /r/ShitAmericansSay material
  9. Man City are incredibly boring and machine-like to watch, scoring sweaty FIFA goals constantly. They're also the default title winners now, so for that reason my preference is Liverpool who play football I like to see.
  10. Wew, areet pigeons it's me, a cat.
  11. Suddenly realised that when we've been bemoaning the death of the game, some of us have been talking about different things. I fucking hate all that fan experience shite. The Germans have it right, that's the direction I'd want the game to go in.
  12. My hot take is that similar to the cycling scandal, it'll be so widespread that Burnley have actually won the league for the last 4 years.
  13. Not a chance that I'd be bringing him into Newcastle yet. His potential is there, but he hasn't been tearing it up to the extent that he could make such a huge leap.
  14. I'd be keeping him there or putting him in a team looking to get promoted to the Championship. Depending on what Bristol Rovers do in the summer, they could both be the same thing.
  15. Commentators just openly calling them absolute morons
  16. Hope they don't abandon the match with them all being on the pitch
  17. The only thing that would ever be worth adopting is the draft. Aside from that, nah, go away.
  18. As always, you're a traitor to the crown
  19. @YorkieHappy now? Man City, West Ham, and Leicester all out. Happy now? Are you? Are you happy? Yorkie?
  20. I'd love to go out on the lash with Ally McCoist, class bloke
