Imo that's just the nature of the improvement we saw in Joelinton and it's a great example because of how extraordinary it was, but it's by no means the only example. You only need to look at how much Miggy, Gordon, Hall, Murphy, Longstaff to an extent extracted everything out of what they had through Howe's coaching. The evidence with Elanga already exists as well if you look at his output last season, so I remain pretty confident that we'll see a big improvement.

Turning Joelinton into a powerhouse midfielder who was at one point probably one of the best midfielders in the league doesn't seem as big a deal now that it's happened, but I think it's a case of taking it for granted now. The transformation was miraculous. Turning Elanga into the same effective winger that he was last season would be a success and still be nowhere near the transformation we saw with Joelinton and others.

Getting a 'could' on this in February ffs
-
And Elanga returned 18 G/A last season, if we're cherry picking.

Ignoring his very good form from PSG onwards then choosing Man City away as the time to review him (when he didn't even play badly) seems a bit unfair like.

I'd still be massively shocked if they went down. They have a 4 point cushion, a new manager experienced in these situations, and are up against teams who have harder fixtures.

Simons looks grossly overhyped

I have absolutely no skin in this game but it couldn't be more obvious that the ref has massively favoured Arsenal in this one.

Still don't think Arsenal will win the league like.

This is a circus, look at that from Trossard man, he should be booked for that but gets a free kick.

Oh aye. Wanting and doing are very different
-
Never ever ever ever a foul that. Think I'm at the point of wanting to walk away from football like, what a fucking joke.

Gabriel diving, shock horror.

A draw is ideal

Liverpool are shit like, absolute shite.

LiVARpool strike again. Sorry like, yet again I don't believe the offside system there.

Liverpool are terrible.

How unfortunate

Another honking day of football so far. Worst season I can remember in years this.

Every signing is already a failure until they're not I guess. Woltemade was my biggest worry - really like him, desperately want him to succeed but didn't see how it could ever work - and even he makes more sense now. I'm really confident Eddie will get it right
