  1. They better not like They're so fucking ridiculous
  2. Grealish suddenly remembering that he's good
  3. Fletch referring to Steve Mcmanamanamanaman's old team even though he played for both of them. Pillock.
  4. You'd be set up for life being the chief scout that signed Kante and Mahrez.
  5. GTFI. Up ye arse Real Madrid
  6. He's clearly not fit like, with his speed he still has plenty of other parts of his game that make him still a class player
  7. Fully fit Walker has no problem dealing with him imo.
  8. The longer this stays 0-0 the more certain I am Real Madrid are going to somehow win

    Jesse Lingard

I don't think there are any rules you always need to completely abide by when it comes to signing players from certain places like. If Lingard's attitude is right and Howe/Ashworth can vouch for it, that's fine by me. Man United by most accounts isn't the healthiest environment for players to flourish at the moment and I think a lot of the attitude/primadonna stuff surrounding him is an assumption made about him because he, in the nicest possible way, goes on like a bit of a tit. Again, the England version of Lingard is a player I've liked for a while and he was really good at West Ham. If we got that player even for a season or two and him being on a free didn't mess up the wage dynamic, I'd be happy with him as a signing.
  10. He's an absolute shit, can't stand him and his stupid chubby cheeks.
  11. Foden looks well up for this, the little scamp
  12. Easily our worst signing for me
  13. Just remembered that all of the talk at the time was that if we didn't get Owen, the plan was to go for Torres as well. Literally couldn't have been a worse set of circumstances, the player Souness wanted and the plan B were both 10x the player Owen was.
  14. ...and Sounness, despite his sins, wanted Nicolas Anelka not Michael Owen. Anelka went on to smash it up at Bolton the season after and Michael Owen went on to be the worst signing in our history. IIRC he wanted Luis Boa Morte and not Albert Luque as well.
  15. I fucking hate those ones that got away stories.
  16. He stopped going in 1977, so didn't see Given, Albert, Ginola, Beardsley, Ferdinand, or Shearer in the flesh, who he'd have included.
  17. Wild theory, the same reason it took a while for people to accept that Kane was a world class striker - because something about them makes them look like they should play like an absolute donkey.
  18. My lass's dad's best XI (the ones he's seen play in person) Iam McFaul Frank Clark David Craig Ollie Burton Bobby Moncur Jimmy Smith Tony Green Terry McDermott Terry Hibbit Wyn Davies Malcolm Macdonald No Shearer or Beardsley
  19. Texted my lass's dad to ask him his. "I'll have to have a think about that - I'll get back to you. Tony Green will be in it though." That generation's Ben Arfa clique.
  20. Not doing a formation, just smushing the best players in: Given Beye (another few months and it'll probably be Trippier) Woodgate José Enrique Solano Beardsley Lee Ginola Ben Arfa Cole Shearer
  21. There's smoke with Pep because of his past, but Man City don't at all strike me as a team on PEDs to the extent that Liverpool do.
  22. I know it was going wide, I remember it at the time. In open play there was no way anyone watching it was confident of that though.
