Yeah, we really are like. We have a few individuals that are better than anything the others have, but as a whole I think we're the worst.
-
1 win all season and potentially only 5 points from safety. The 10 minutes stoppage time will probably have some drama tbh.
-
Much more to it than manager = success at one club therefore= success at any club.
-
Can see Watford twisting on another manager soon.
-
This is good but Norwich also need to calm down, don't want them getting too good.
-
Why's he showing off
-
Definitely. They were worse than Burnley were and we'd have won with 11 players.
-
That lad's canny, but he's clueless like. Watch this to find out more. https://youtu.be/SQkWeQR4tDM Look at the defender he decides is the one to keep in the starting 11 for a start.

I read an article where she mentioned, either in direct quotes or by the person writing the article, that she was annoyed at not being able to take a photo in SJP without SD signs being in the photo. That was my original guess about what it would be and it wouldn't surprise me if that's it. Pettiest, most thin-skinned bloke going.

Where was RLC mentioned?
-
He sounds absolutely fucking knackered.

The ignore list is getting daft now like -
It's not an argument really, I can definitely see why someone would think he could be getting more out of the squad, I just see it that he's getting what can be gotten from it and is hitting a glass ceiling because of the quality of the players. I think you can make the case that Norwich and Burnley are on par with our squads, (although I think there are more players from their teams that get in ours than vice verse) but Watford's squad is much better than ours overall imo. Hopefully the signings are the thing that smashes through that glass ceiling and we start getting some wins.
-
FWIW I do think we're getting more, just not to the extent that it's ending up in wins.
-
It's only 27 games at all because of how obvious it is that the squad's the problem. Look at it this way, if the squad wasn't the problem, he wouldn't have made it to half that amount of games and still have the majority backing him.
-
He hasn't necessarily sat on his arse when he could have gone somewhere else though, word is that Man United wouldn't loan him out. Apparently OGS assured him he'd get a chance at the end of last season which is why he went back rather than going to West Ham, but then he's had no chance since then. The only red flag for me is that we're not his first choice but when you're 19th and staring relegation in the face, and he's a player that's good enough to play in a top 10 team, I think it's fair to call that beggars being choosers rather than a red flag.
-
Going on brummie's review of Targett I'd be happy to bring him in. Solid defensively/not great going forward in the Dummett mould, but Dummett's going to get injured and is on the way out so it makes sense. Would definitely like a more attack minded LB at the same time.
-
It doesn't seem to work like that though, the squad is the same but everyone else has improved and the other shit teams from last year have been relegated. We see this happen year after year, clubs fail to invest over the years and eventually they have a season like the one we're having. Just off the top of my head you can follow the same pattern with Stoke, Villa, West Brom, Swansea, Fulham before they started yo-yoing, and Wigan. When you watched those teams you could sense relegation was in the post and this Newcastle squad's no different.
-
The reason I did that is to highlight how bad the majority of our squad is. Those 3 are quality and like-for-like the best players in their position out of those teams, but I think it obscures those teams being stronger as a whole. It gets talked about a lot, but those teams have midfielders and forwards who would walk into team or squad.
-
I think you're kidding yourself there like, it's not only a Championship squad, but a Championship squad that's now 5 years older. Take ASM, Wilson, and Trippier out of the equation and those clubs have better squads, especially Watford.
-
I'd stick with him personally. Obviously it's a results business, but I can see what he's trying to do, I like it, and I can see it clicking and being successful with better players. I think if we go down there's every argument to be made that we're this season's team that looked doomed from the start, regardless of the manager. It probably goes without saying that he absolutely must get the team winning once new signings are in, he doesn't have the time to roll out a project or anything.

As atrocious as he's been I think I'd actually put Willock in for Shelvey just on the off chance he has a good match. I'd have him more advanced with Joelinton dropping back. Shelvey even on a good day is a suicidal choice against Leeds, particularly in the second half when they're still full of energy and he's absolutely fucked. -
Yeah, it's total bullshit that.
-
This one won't sting too much because it's been drawn out and felt like it wasn't going to happen for a while. I just hope they have someone else more realistic/attainable lined up who'll still improve us. My guess would be Tarkowski and I don't think he'll be good enough to make the difference.
