I much prefer watching Liverpool, but Man City have a massive strength-in-depth advantage once over Chelsea, twice over Liverpool, and 3 or 4 times over everyone else. Look at the ridiculously small eye of the needle Liverpool threaded 2 seasons running and still only won the league once.

Can anyone think of an example of a team completely revolutionising their lineup in a January (or any) transfer window and it working straight away?

Isn't it literally only us and Arsenal who hadn't had matches postponed until now?

That and that there's something off about them that I can't quite put my finger on. Like they've lost their mojo, not on the same wavelength as each other and generally looking a bit predictable.

He was the one triggering the press and he did it really well. He had a few rabble rousing moments with the crowd which should never be underappreciated at SJP.

I really like what he's doing with what we have like. It gets a bit hairy at times but picking Clark aside I can usually see what he's trying and he absolutely feels like a Newcastle manager imo. His style and our historical style are hand in glove.

Would need to see it again tbh. My general rule with Lascelles is if I didn't notice him he's had a decent game.

Only thing I can fault him for is not hitting the target with his 1 shot. That aside he was almost flawless like.

Definitely saw signs of what made him look good under Rafa. He was absolutely shagged from about 75 minutes though.

Fantastic performance. I wouldn't say we were unlucky, but you would definitely say we had the much bigger chances and the better performances. So disappointed that we didn't get the win but I can't fault the players or Howe at all.
