Idiot boomers at pubs and idiot boomers at pubs on twitter. Is “boomer” the right on version of “snowflake”? I’ve lost track of what’s cool anymore. . .

I do think fucking him off as soon as the takeover is complete is a bit shit tbh.

I’ve actually been won over by Bruce in this takeover period. He’s shown a lot of class and I do believe he’s being genuine when he says he wants what’s best for the club. He hasn’t made a terrible account of himself either this year. Am I naive enough to he’ll do a top job with a load of money? No. Do I think we should at least give him a fair crack of the whip? Absolutely. He’s earned it for me.

Some boy when he’s in the mood!!!

Actually quite good to see the media move behind giving the league a kick up the arse for the way they’ve treated us as fans. They’ve come out of this looking absolutely weak as piss. BeIN shouldn’t have had half the say and influence they have done and these tests have been wrongly used as moral rather than financial checks. I think the premier league have boxed themselves into a corner with this decision. They’ve huge political pressure to deny the saudis but I think they know that Ashley/PIF will rinse them in court should they bow to said pressure.

Cancel the games, keep everyone safe and start from scratch next year with no relegations/champions etc. If Liverpool don't like it - tough shit - peoples lives are more important.

Ironically, having owners who will invest in the club, the buildings and the city will bring back the noise, the pride and the passion IMO. It's been the exact opposite when we've been run like a cold hard business. Like Man City? How was the atmosphere at City before they started winning stuff? I don't remember it being that great tbh, plenty of them were converting to Man U as their favourite club. Nah, they were pretty loyal but were the self proclaimed ‘best fans in the world’. There used to several attendance arguments with usas they had the nerve to sing ‘where were you when you were s***’ at us at St James’. They had good attendances in lower league football for sure. They were decent fans. I think the same thing that happened to them will happen to us. It’s a fatigue really more than anything. Yeah they had decent crowds when they were where the mackems are now. They are just normal arrogant Mancs in the hear then before you see them Noel Gallagher mould and mouthed off too much. Maine Road was a good old ground, bloody nightmare to get in and out of though. Don't agree with this at all. The long time city fans are, for the most part, decent lads who share a very similiar outlook to us toon fans. They've found themselves in a very fortunate position that, fingers crossed, we may find ourselves in. Ask the clued up amongst them and I'm sure they'll tell you the best time for them was in the old second division with players like Sean Wright Phillips and Jon Macken - I'm sure in ten years time we'll be telling anyone who listens about going down with Rafa Benitez and that amazing season in the Championship.....

Still doesn't detract from my point. All those are from this month they aren't looking to change man. Change doesn't come overnight though does it? It's going to be a slow process. No it does not but I'll wait till they've stopped murdering people before I think they are on any path to redemption. You'll be hard pressed to find any country on the geo-political stage that doesn't have people murdered. They were just stupid enough to get caught!

I would take a running guess that it's to do with any land and business deals that will crop up from any redevelopment of the area. Look at what City did with Eastlands - totally transformed the place. I have half an idea that that's what our potential new owners will want to do. Exciting times lads.

My view on it is this. You don't make moves like they are doing without expecting the spot light to shine on the country and those running it. The plan is to open the country up to more tourism and to shed its previous image of a hermit oil state that really only travelled to for Hajj - this can only be a good thing. In my opinion this shows willing to engage with the wider world - am I comfortable with the things they have done? No, not at all. I'm also uncomfortable with the things that China have done in recent years and the premier league seems more than happy to accept Chinese investment. Let the Saudis buy us, let them showcase their wealth and yes, let them use us a vehicle to life their countries profile. If their endgame is to open themselves up the world, with all the scrutiny that that brings, then this is surely a sign that they are looking to move away from their past.

One of the most engaging players on social media around. Genuinely seems to enjoy interacting with the fans and his work on the pitch has been the difference this year. Whatever goes on with the squad should the takeover happen then this boy needs to stay.

You have a 180 degree erection? For Rafa - yes I do.
