Ha! Just missing Mrs G holding golden delicious!

Well, there you are then. Nailed on ?

Italy are second in U21 qualifying group. They play bottom placed Norway tomorrow. Three day gap then to QFs. This might take a while… .

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

I think he’d be/have been a great signing. Imagine having had him as an option at key times last season? Could have been the difference between an exceptional and a best in living memory season. I’m just not getting the vibes that he is still an option, whether price, wages, or our location, something seems awry/misaligned. Guess we can’t expect all (most?) to be chomping at the bit to sign for us. Shame as he could be involved in something truly special/career enhancing. No worries; we’ll move on. -

Haddaway, man. Have you not seen Our Friends in the North? -
So… I am now thinking Tonali, Livramento, França and possibly an expensive surprise are going to be our additions. Would that be enough?
-
Definitely. (Loved Robert too, mind. Though not as much as Solano—favourite ever player; though still would have to say that for sheer raw ‘fucking hell’ expertise and joy to watch, Ginola had the higher bar).
-
If we get him/are asking again, does that rule out Maddison?
-
Fair play to the lad, believe he’s already had a few sub appearances. Much closer to playing for the ‘actual team’ there, and staying (for now) with the club who has developed him deserves some kudos for loyalty. Hope he does well.

Definitely ? but presumably we would be using old one right up to new one being fully ready. Hence having two sitting side by side (in view of each other at least) for a while.
-
Wouldn’t it be great having two huge football stadiums sitting next to each other for a while!
-
That’s brilliant! ?
-
I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that they hadn’t even met him, in person, yet. Hopefully, as you imply, pics done as he’s all-in.

A thing of beauty… (looking forward to my beach towel arriving!)

It’s a good roll/role (for you…).

Italy u21 play today (Switzerland), then Wednesday (Israel). Not sure of permutations of them qualifying from group stage, but QFs are 1-2 July, SFs 5th July, and Final 8th July. Small (3 day) gaps between all games/rounds. Hope we don’t have to wait for ‘shirt pic’ until after the final.

Like many, I have many memories of people and events, at SJP. As someone who moved away from Newcastle 17 years ago, and had a season ticket for many years before, it is always lovely going back. That said, the ground has changed so much since I first attended (aged 7) and started going regularly (in early teens) that ‘it has always been our home’ type narratives remind me of this:

I’d much rather we stayed and although it seems arbitrary, I’d say being able to develop another 10,000 seats would be a reasonable criterion. If we had to develop a new stadium then I think the potential to build something spectacular (along the lines of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium) with the right infrastructure and access should be the main criteria, rather than being within the city limits, something on the banks of the Tyne could give a great boost to the redevelopment of the whole area. People will always have reason to head into the city centre, we might find fewer of the vast majority do don’t attend matches put off from doing so on match days. From a business point of view, what was lost/redistributed in alcohol sales may be partially recouped in general sales from retailers.

Not if you’re infected with John Terry’s construct system.
-
Even more bizarrely it seemed to be magnetically drawn to the colour red, pulling him repeatedly into the reach of Sunderland defenders.
-
You’re just jealous, guy.

Bryan Ferry. Canny.

Just feeding the beast. It’s HUNGRY!
