  1. Robert's v Fulham was 10x better than Giroud's v Palace the other year.
  2. You've definitely got my card marked.
  3. I've wished nothing but good health and the best for people on this forum and then BANG, I get called a paedo. Shame. Guilty sign I'm off onto the Depression and Anxiety thread to have a cry about how this online abuse is really getting me down.

  5. How many days ban did they get for it?
  6. He has said many conflicting things as have others. He did speak to Man Utd (players could speak to clubs back then without club’s permissions like now). Walker would have sold for less to anyone other than Man Utd and made it almost impossible for them to deal with him. NUFC/S&N/Adidas would have paid whatever it took together to get Shearer. Once KK had his magic way there was no chance Shearer was going anywhere but home full stop. People forget at that time, although they were the Champions, we were regarded as the more ambitious and more likely to dethrone them and go on to keep winning. Shearer absolutely made the right decision not just in terms of his own ambitions as a player but financially and of course in terms of his family. It never quite worked out as intended, but I’m sure glad I got to see him in our number 9 banging them in. Hypothetical here - if Shearer stayed fit in the 96/97 and KK stayed on full season would we have won the league? What would 97/98 look with KK at helm, and only certain areas of the team upgraded? We were a few points off when he quit and had just beaten Spurs 7-1, I think we’d have went close again. KK stays and we kept investing and we win major honours. Appoint SBR and not Dalglish and we win something. Just look at what SBR did after season two here with a worse squad. Or if we had got Van Gaal over Dalglish.
  7. I know, I read his post the other day in the What Are You Eating thread where he described someones bait as looking like Simon Weston. Had me chuckling away.
  8. He's made a U-turn. Shops closed until government give him the green light.
  9. In a nutshell someone? I've just woke up
  10. Sorry it was relation to HTT's ridiculous long post. Aye I thought the same. Going out and buying the best striker on the planet having just missed out on the title to Man Utd wasn't a move to help us win the league!? He seems a cheerful chap does HTT and I don't want to seem too critical but I've seen him compare Domi to Evra and Distin & Woodgate to Ferdinand and Vidic! The daft owld git.
  11. Lick his arsehole first for good measure.
  12. Scored a raker away to Boro on the volley.
  13. I thought Claudio Cacapa looked a tidy player for us up until that game against Portsmouth when he was hung out to dry by Allardyce when he was clearly nowhere near being fit.
  14. Viana bottled a massive 50/50 in the UEFA semi that led to Drogba's first goal.
  15. Milner was obviously, looking back, wrongly/badly used while here especially given his age and inexperience. He’s aged well in terms of his game though and become a consistent performer who does the simple things well using his work rate, selflessness and experience. When he was with us, he would frustrate because he’d try and beat his man with a trick or a feint but had zero pace or actual flair so it just looked shit. He could actually cross a ball though. Had he been converted to a full-back earlier on right at the start, he’d have been a top-class one IMO. Being managed by Souness and told "you won't win anything with a team full of Milners" wouldn't have helped. We signed him in 2004 and by 2008 he had been managed by Robson, Souness, Roeder, Allardyce and Keegan. Hardly would have helped - I'm sure Allardyce said he was never a right winger, too.
  16. They seem to have grudges against everyone. Constant digs at Rafa even when he was manager, they used to slag Bruce rotten when he was Bag Puss at Birmingham or the mackems, they’ve went easy on him this year. They look for any fault to have a dig or a snipe at. From KK to whoever. They love a dig at forums and social media fan outlets too. In their defence though, they are doing no different than you or I, offering an opinion and as a resource in terms of records, stats, info and such, they are second to none. I’d hire them tomorrow if I Owned the club to run the club’s online website. It’s the sitting on the fence I really hate the most. Have some balls. They're probably just two middle-aged blokes that get pissed at the match and whinge about us being shite. Don't see the problem mesel!
  17. Acuna wasn't an ex-player at the time their match reports were posted online.
  18. I was only 10 or so when we signed him. I can remember him scoring v Leeds (twice, maybe?). I enjoy reading some of the old match reports on nufc.com from their On This Day in History section - they were never too complimentary on Acuna.
  19. Aaron Hughes wins that title hands down. Should never have been flogged. Should never have been flogged and replaced with that drunken crock Craig Moore.
