  1. 'Newcastle Online hosts worst thread in Internet history, again'
  2. I can live with stories like that tbh, it's fuck all to do with any other club and everybody involved in the bid knows this. Stuff like that will only ever come across as fear of a resurgent Newcastle.
  3. Obviously these delays are all smokescreens while the authorities are coming up with a plan to deal with the 85,000 who will attempt to descend on Gallowgate as soon as this is formally announced
  4. Richard Keys submitting a dossier to Barclays as we type, filled with incriminating details linking PIF with base rate fraud, insider trading and going unauthorised overdrawn
  5. I genuinely don't know where people are pulling these expected timeframes from
  6. It's all just supposedly though MSF, we have never actually had the first idea what's involved or how long this should take in normal conditions or anything. People have said every week for the last three weeks, "I don't know how it's taken this long" - it's because none of us know how long it takes
  7. It's almost like it's a massively complex and detailed legal process involving multiple parties occuring during a totally unprecedented international health crisis.
  8. I find it most satisfying that the two posters I associate most with sounding notes of caution are Sean and Penn. Will never watch any of his films again without thinking that he's just had an offscreen moment in which he tells someone the sale's not going through
  9. RS has been steadfast on this middle of May thing, like. I reckon we're now into Middle Of May territory myself.
  10. Ashley wants it finished and done with because the PL are going to claim television money back and he wants to be gone and clear of things before it comes up (imo)
  11. Sky Sports take, not sure if it's been posted already. Nothing new in there, the buying consortium "remain confident their bid will be given the green light by the Premier League, despite this latest report" https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11678/11986873/newcastle-united-takeover-premier-league-refuse-to-comment-on-illegal-tv-streaming-links
  12. Saudis leaked the documents themselves hoping to stall this until Mike has paid back the TV money which the bbc says is going to be owing, imo
  13. Can't believe that any material fact about the piracy hasn't already been worked through by the legals, particularly if it's already gone through the French courts. Some of you lads really need to just stop reading and wait for the thread title to change one way or another, it can't be good for you to be so up and down
  14. I bet they are chock full of brand new information from Richard Keys
  15. Just been here a couple of weeks and a hundred or so posts so no worries about wasted life for me
  16. I get that. But Caulkin, Duncan Castles, Chris Waugh... they’ve all reported similar and we know for a fact they speak to the buying side regularly. It just seems like rehashed news from other reputable sources to me. (The same way they report on transfer talk) Aye, it's clear that that's how it seems to you different people put different values on news sources, though, and while I'm not saying that nufc.com carries the same weight as the BBC or Sky Sports, sometimes the same story appearing on a different source is enough to change the emphasis. For me, nufc.com have always been conservative enough in the past to make me think that them posting what they did in the middle of the night on a Sunday must represent a significant development. It's fair enough if you don't see it the same way.
  17. I think it's just that they've chosen to report it, which carries a bit of weight and makes it feel different to Twitter shite.
  18. Definitely makes a difference that .com have reported it imo, it's 'only' a fansite but they've always been very cautious and the way they've reported that is fairly unequivocal. Still time for it to go wrong but they haven't just thought, 'it's approaching midnight on a Sunday, I wonder how we can get our hits up', this must be based on something fairly substantial.
