Yeah, properly lovely feel in town today other than the clapped out old Britain First van driving around
-
Sunday is three quid all day in all of them I think The way into Manors is a closely guarded local secret through, of course
-
Aye, that's my three free parking places mentioned already. Spillers Wharf, Nuns Moor and Railway Street
-
If the trains aren't running properly I guess you might have just as much bother from the Metro? Personally when I drove in I always just got there a couple of hours early and parked along Brighton Grove/Walter Terrace/New Mills area just off Barrack Road, you just have to be ready for the charvas who want a fiver to watch your car

Writing to them Yours sincerely, Saddened of Sunlun

this is the biggest bit for me. When they 'ended their interest' I was surrounded by hooting and dancing and clapping mackems at work playing me songs on invisible violins, absolutely over the knot that what they had feared most appeared to have collapsed. Now it's uncollapsed, they had no way to go back and pretend they weren't bothered since they made such a literal song and dance about it. To be fair, the lads I know are all sound and haven't got on board the human rights express. If they don't like the CEO concept and would rather think of a football club as owner/manager/first team/reserves/tea lady/kit chep/end then that's up to them. Personally couldn't give the very first fuck what they think

Can't believe they're using an NE postcode tbh
-
Was just coming to post this. They've all taken days to announce, have they not?
-
It's a great song by Maximo Park, although they're not from Sunderland
-
I just think it's class that we collectively have so many great acts. I don't see it like I see football
-
Nice one they were always my top NE band like. I can imagine the tales and drama. Ginger must be getting on for 60 by now, hard to believe everybody is so old
-
Aye I put most of mine higher then your three but that's how it goes and I pretty much agree with your other point. Again off the top of head Wildhearts when they were being experimental were maybe the closest we got for me, but they were always niche and always imploding. I reckon they could have done something really amazing if they'd all kept it together for a few years. Anyway, there's probably a better thread
-
Seriously? It's all in the ear of the listener obviously but Futureheads were fucking brilliant (imo). Off the top of my head Field Music, Lauren Laverne and Kenickie, Frankie Stubbs and Leatherface. Dave Stewart. Was Martin Stephenson from there as well? I'm not saying I personally find all these brilliant (although I prefer some of them to wor Sam) but it's just stupid to say there's never been any musical talent come out of Sunderland. It's not a competition and it doesn't diminish any Newcastle artists that there are also good ones from Sunderland

There's some fucking amazing musical talent come out of Sunderland like

Fyewtchaheads didn't gan on like that when they played Glasto marra Classy band, from Sunlun you see

I mean, El Crapico is back this year. Surely that should be their focus if we no longer exist
-
I wish they'd stop harping on about it then
