After having time to think about this, the reason our end seemed like day trippers is due to our huge family enclosure. A lot of tickets will have went to families and not groups of lads like in past finals. Clearly we need to protect the future support of the club, but our family enclosure is ridiculously big compared to other clubs. I think this caused a major issue on Sunday in terms of the vocal support. Also @Wallsendmagis spot on.

Brilliant display on a par with Arsenal at home last year as the best to date. Whilst not an atmosphere thread would be interested to know what @Heron and these lads made of the vocal support from our end during the game ?

On way back to Wembley Park there was a few who appeared from the side before you went up the stairs posturing and chanting you only came to see United. Not sure if they’d even been to the match, but a fair few of them still want a bit action on match days.

Anyone else outside the globe yesterday what was the craic with the bloke with the megaphone, thought I’d walked out into a political demonstration from Baker Street tube station, then heard who the fuck are Man United blaring out.

I must have been near you mate ended up getting a ticket in section 241, was brilliant when chants started going up in the lioness bar or whatever it was called before the match. Very nice in there even though the wallets a lot lighter this morning. Was surprised by how few mancs there were in club Wembley, we certainly had massive numbers down felt like a home game in there.

That’s a good call re an atmosphere thread, I sometimes think I just need to move on and accept times have changed, but I’m not convinced we still can’t have a great atmosphere. Wor Flags have done a great job and the huge Howay The Lads flag draping down from the top tier was fantastic. However, like you say it’s old ground and it needs positive action now, the flags look great but without the vocal support it feels a bit manufactured and hollow to me.

I think Jack has hit the nail on the head re our support yesterday. My experience was that we were fucking great all weekend, took over the bars and created a great spectacle at Trafalgar. We still have a large element of lad support as witnessed at Trafalgar, around Kings Cross/Euston and Baker Street pre match. However, the make up of our support in the ground yesterday was very mixed, nowt wrong with that football has moved on. But here lies the problem their fanbase yesterday seemed to have a lot more match going lad types and they did create a big noise inside Wembley, it certainly helped that they we’re winning but our end just never got going like theirs bar maybe at the very start and at the end when the flags came out. They’re horrible arrogant cunts undoubtedly but they have a large hardcore of fans, our end did have a feel of day trippers yesterday, which considering it was season ticket holders in the main is worrying. As someone else said for not one rendition of the Blaydon Races to ring out around Wembley is a pretty sad state of affairs.

3rd time I’ve seen us lose to these cunts at Wembley, we’ll have our day lads. Newcastle United will never be defeated.

Incredible scenes in the smoke last night hope everyone is recovered and ready to go again today. What a fucking club, whatever happens today the good times are back.

Ticket prices falling on places like live tickets as we get closer, still extortionate but might be worth keeping an eye on today for any folk still looking.

They may have played Thursday but have much more quality off the bench. We need Isak and Willock off the bench later in the game when it’s stretched. Massive that Willock is fit to play as this could go all the way to extra time. Think it’ll be attritional and Wembley has a habit of knackering players over the 90 mins, whether it’s the adrenalin or what the subs could decide this. I predict Rashford doesn’t start and Man U look to put us away on the break in 2nd half, could go anyway but we’ve simply got to start taking our chances as we’ll need to score at least 2 to win this.
