Slight intrusion into the park where current multi story car park is towards Barrack Road. Not sure how much into park they would need to go, but looks plenty of land to nudge it away from Leazes Terrace. If I’m not mistaken Spurs built a good proportion of new stadium before having to bulldoze White Hart Lane. Looks a hard one to do without closing SJP for a couple of years but who knows what’s possible.

I’ve got great reservations about sweeping the current structure around to the Gallowgate end in its current guise, the Leazes isn’t conducive to creating any atmosphere in its current layout. I think they’re going to surprise folk here and try and build it from scratch again just NW of SJP’s current footprint. The East Stand just isn’t in keeping with what they’ll have in mind long term and I’m not convinced they can do anything with it either that’ll represent value for money. They’ll have plans for Strawberry Place but it’ll not end up being the Gallowgate extension.

In the summer I’d like to see realistically the LB Robinson from Fulham, Kone, Maddison and a young striker from somewhere. Think we’re still a CB short to succeed Fabian long term, but think we might wait to the next window to address that. If St Max is sold to raise funds I’d like to see Diaby replace him.

Covent Garden Saturday afternoon, Trafalgar later, then find somewhere respectable in the west end for a civilised pint when it gets to rowdy. Day of game early pints around KX, tube to Baker Street and probably cans outside the Globe pre match. Not sure which pubs we’ve been allocated around Wembley, Green Man or Torch used to be best of bad bunch.

In the old days the touts would panic if you could hold your nerve right up until kick off, not sure what the score will be for this though demand seems huge.

My guess would be the latter, be surprised if they get much more than a fine and transfer ban.

There’ll be plenty of touts about it’s just making sure you don’t get a snide.
