I couldn’t be more over the moon with this takeover, however I think their reaction has been the cherry on the cake. Think Shearer highlighted on motd Ritchie not stopping the cross yet again which led to goal. I agree he must be dropped this weekend when he’ll be up against the likes of Saka and Smith Rowe. I really don’t see how Lewis can be any worse defensively and he’s got a bit pace which where crying out for.

Great game to try something different as the balance is still not right with 5 at the back. I think Howe has played 4-2-3-1 before which I still think could be our best formation. We clearly need more protection in midfield but with the ability to get bodies in the box like yesterday. This would be my choice, where still conceding with the back 3 so can’t see it’s going to be any worse with a 4. Exactly they’ve obviously miffed a few agents already hence the likes of Balague’s article.
