  1. I think we’ll put this to the test immediately and announce some big deals. Reject them and they’ll be facing another anti competition case.
  2. And so it begins it’ll be the likes of Salah soon. The revolution will be televised. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/newcastle-liverpool-coaching-staff-mark-leyland-b1975990.html
  3. Who put the signs in the fucking skip O’Briens O’Briens
  4. Exactly the type of player we need in middle of the park. Has to be an absolute priority alongside defenders. This bloke and Kamara from Marseille would give us a new dynamic for 2nd half of season. https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/newcastle-transfer-fofana-new-toure-25690250
  5. Chelsea and Liverpool both have plans to increase their stadium, they’re not standing still. When the time comes if you can’t expand St Jame’s with potentially 10000 to 15000 wanting in for certain games, the only option is to move. These people aren’t here to be middle of the road they build new cities from sand. I think folk will have to move with the times and be prepared to match the new owners ambition.
  6. You can’t stick with 52000 and claim to be a big club when the likes of West Ham, Spurs, Man City and soon Everton will all have surpassed us. Leeds also have plans to expand Elland Road, we can’t stay at St Jame’s if expansion is not possible. The reason many of us are so excited about this takeover is the untapped potential of what this club could become, we simply can’t tie ourselves to St Jame’s because of an emotional attachment. Castle Leazes is still probably the best option, it opens up Leazes Terrace and keeps City Centre location.
  7. JD sports now stocking NUFC merch since Ashley fucked off. You could try their online site.
  8. Best post on the subject I’ve read and lays out exactly why a new stadium is the only option down the line whether most like it or not. History is great but our new owners want to be the best and if they feel it’s necessary to move we should support them all the way. Clubs like West Ham now attract 60k we can’t be restricted by SJP if we want to truly be a top club. The only thing I disagree about is SJP not being particularly loud post Taylor, the atmosphere under Keegan came from all 4 stands and exceeded anything I ever heard post old Leazes terrace roof coming off. The place used to be rocking, I’ll never forget the Cantona 1 nil game the place was deafening a full 20 Mins before kick off and I can genuinely say I’ve never heard the place as loud as that night ( though admittedly we did run out of steam in 2nd half). These owners have the money to secure a city centre stadium, let them get on with it when that time comes.
  9. I’m sure our new owners could pull something like this off. Failing that another old git who’s happy to move to arena site or Castle Leazes. The atmosphere at 36000 St Jame’s under Keegan was something else, however since redevelopment the sound doesn’t carry around the ground. A purpose built stadium with good acoustics and better sight lines than level 7 brings would be my preferred option.
  10. Keith used to regularly start the east stand gallowgate wing off with a ditty on match days. We are the Geordie boys and Warren Barton centre parting we’re a couple. Sad that a lot of real die hards we’re sickened so much from the Ashley regime that they probably won’t ever return. Good to know he’s still knocking about though.
  11. Will probably be Keith used to sit near him in East Stand for years. Got banned after a run in at Hull away, shame was black and white through and through went everywhere during the Keegan years.
  12. Perspective needed Chelsea and Wolves didn’t beat these at home, it’s rarely going to be a great performance against this lot. Cracking result against a very tough team.
  13. Aye was half hearted attempt with a 50/50 outside their box near the end. Catch 22 still think back 4 needs protection though.
  14. Much better than Ritchie but seems to struggle with his bearings when receiving the ball. Have to admit haven’t seen much of him previously, but he has an uncanny knack of turning back to his face his own goal and back into the opposition player. Apart from that no complaints holds his position far better defensively.

    Joelinton

Tremendous display worked his socks off.
  16. What a shit house, all we had to do was keep it simple at the back tonight. Obviously beyond this useless cunt what a fucking disgrace.
  17. Don’t particularly like Parish but he’s spot on there. Got no doubt it’ll be watered down massively.
  18. Did well against Chiesa for Northern Ireland the other week, I refuse to believe Lewis can be any worse than Ritchie.
  19. Nicely fielded Eddie however just call him a cunt in future.
  20. Twats invite twat don’t be to disappointed.
  21. This would be my line up aswell, but fear Clark, Krath and Fraser will start.
  22. Ritchie is an absolute liability at left back and Manquillo is by far our best right back. I don’t need to be paid millions or use analytics to see that. It also doesn’t take a genius to realise there should have been a defensive midfielder in there today. Was pleased to see Darlow and Clark dropped but there we’re some alarm bells ringing with that line up today. I want to see attacking football as much as anyone, but it needs to be organised and disciplined. Fully back Howe but they just haven’t got time to learn on the job, if he’s been watching us for weeks as implied he should already be aware of a lot of the failings.
  23. I think this is definitely a 4 at the back with Krath at right back. Would prefer Manquillo and Lewis if this is the case as Ritchie will be a fucking liability in a 4.
