Pre-season (2025/26) - NUFC to play Atletico Madrid in Sela Cup

All the packages from last seen and what they provide are here. I would imagine they’ll announce prices nearer the time, but they vary quite a bit from the Leazes Park grill up to the directors box packages. https://www.nufc.co.uk/tickets/match-hospitality-in-newcastle/hospitality-suites/ -
I think we could still do with someone to unlock the door in tight games with a key pass. I was hoping for Paqueta, but no way that’s happening on top of the players we’ve been heavily linked with this week. If we could get Eriksen aswell it would probably fit in the budget and give us something different to what we’ve got.

Bilbao will bring back memories for some. -
I’d much rather take Botman over Ake, I could see him becoming a real leader of the club for a number of years. Clearly Ake is better than what we’ve currently got and it could even be argued his speed would be better suited to what we currently need, but just something about getting Botman that sends out a real message to rivals.

Thought this lad might have ended up at West Ham with their Czech owner. Looks a real talent and has been banging them in this season.

Some funny replies to this one the whole city’s on transfer watch, any random bloke sitting in a bar is fair game.

It’s not that a player is guaranteed from the other leagues, of course there’s been failures and successes from all leagues. However, Bundesliga clubs are notorious for selling at top dollar prices therefore the risk increases significantly of making a very expensive mistake. We got out of jail with Joelinton at one stage we’d have been lucky to get 10 million back on him. The 2 deals Frankfurt did for Haller and Jovic look like daylight robbery, yet both those strikers we’re prolific in Germany. The other leagues such as France, Portugal and Holland have seen clubs get far greater value for money in last few years. Though not perhaps the premium we currently have for PL based players, the Bundesliga clubs certainly don’t sell on the cheap.

In Casey I trust, I’ll forgive him the Chris Wood debacle we can all make mistakes.
-
I was kind of invested in Paquetta signing this summer I’d even written a new song for him. To the tune of Suzanne Vega’s classic….His name is Lucas he plays for the black and whites…… I’ll reveal the rest when we sign him in 2023.
-
This thread all about bull shit hence the title, but does appear Casey is Edwards new source.
-
Aye he looks the business no doubt about it. Just always think the bundesliga is a tricky league to really judge how a player will adapt.
-
The only concern is the last winger to leave Leverkusen for the PL was Leon Bailey and he hasn’t set the world on fire. He also had a great season at Leverkusen before leaving. If we did buy him for 50+ let’s hope he adjusts well to the PL.

Nee chance, Botman’s on his way if I was a gambling man.
-
This lad on the right with Ekitike on the left would put the fear of god into teams. Then you’ve got Bruno and Paqueta pulling the strings behind.
-
Like the way he gets his head up around the box and looks to have good delivery for such a quick player.
-
He’s had a great season, won’t be easy to prize away due to them being in CL next season. Think this will be a hard deal to broker at a realistic price.
-
We really should have signed any fucker this week just to keep the jumpy jacks happy.
-
Been superb last couple of games delighted with this.
-
Get Harry Palmer out of retirement for a good sing song in the queue. Deck chairs, flasks be like the old days again. edit might be best to bring a hammer aswell just in case it gets tasty after last orders.
-
Certainly doesn’t look like Botman to Milan is the sure thing the Italian media were claiming weeks ago. I’ll be over the moon if we got him but is he the quick physical CH we need ? He certainly doesn’t look the quickest when turned on the times I’ve seen him. Massive upgrade on what we’ve got, but not sure he’s right alongside Burn or Schar.

More Guardian drivel it was Grimstones role to facilitate inward investment, of course he’d be asking questions why it had been blocked. The whole of Tyneside demanded to know why it had been blocked it was in the public interest.

Howe was at the Europa League final he can’t help but have been impressed with Bassey.
-
Yeah he did this at Bournemouth, but it’s worth noting he’s also used 4-2-3-1 in his time which would suit a signing like Paqueta. Good read here on Howe’s history of tactics. https://www.coachesvoice.com/cv/eddie-howe-newcastle-bournemouth-tactics/
