  1. Looks like the back page didn’t wait for the poor fucker after the game though.
  2. What a trip this lads had, different class these owners.
  3. Reminiscent of Solskjaer taking Rob Lee out all them years ago at OT to stop us winning. Nowt you can do though and it’s a big point for us. Gap down to 5 let’s hope Leicester do us a favour tomorrow. Still on course to be within at leat 6 points of safety come Jan at worst, which we’ll be able to turn around. I actually think it’ll be less, hopefully for once we get the new manager bounce at just the right time.
  4. Drink in Lewes it’s closer to ground and decent pubs.
  5. Some lines from BBC article earlier today about Emery, he was by no means a guaranteed success in my opinion - Some of the criticisms of his time in north London were a difficultly in communicating his message to his players and supporters and an inability to fix the club's defensive and mentality issues. Emery has enjoyed a significant amount of success in his career - winning promotion or a major trophy with five of his nine clubs (including a record four Europa Leagues). He has never finished in the bottom half of a table and has been out of work for less than a year in total since 2004. However, both his two sackings (Spartak Moscow and Arsenal) have come in two of his three jobs outside Spain. Villarreal have been one of the biggest spenders in La Liga since Emery arrived last season - and broke the club record with the £21m signing of Bournemouth's Arnaut Danjuma this summer. The feeling in Spain is that he should have been doing better with his squad - he has only won 17 of his 49 league games in charge and they are currently 13th, three points above the relegation zone.
  6. Great post. We’ve got the media desperate for this to go tits up, we should all be right behind the owners and backing them unconditionally at this point. They’re astute people who will get this right, just fucking enjoy being relevant again. The club was dead, but now we all care again which is the greatest gift possible after 14 years.
  7. Personally think he’s bottled it and isn’t the man for us. I’ve got no doubt he indicated he wanted to come, then on reflection has opted for the safe option. This is now the biggest project in football and if he’s comfortable with his lot he’s not the man for us.
  8. Has an excellent number 2 aswell who is very highly regarded in coaching circles. Out of the domestic candidates he’s the one I’d go for.
  9. Think he was previously set for a role with club but after takeover got delayed he became an agent. Possibly Phil Foden’s agent I believe ? I’ve read that he is advising consortium with McPartland.
  10. Don’t think so close to Benitez and now a football agent I believe.
  11. Frank McPartland and Owen Brown are advising them on football decisions, along with probably a good few other super agents hungry for a piece of the action. They’ll get there though, we should be all be behind them during this transition after 14 years of complete mismanagement.
  12. Good article from Douglas.
  13. Went down a storm in wonderbar at the weekend. All good fun nothing to get upset about.
  14. Even if Everton we’re considering Rafa’s position I couldn’t see them sacking him at the moment. They know fine well we would take him so why cough out to sack him, when they could receive millions instead. It would be like the situation when we hired Souness and Blackburn we’re on the brink of sacking the cunt, then along comes Freddie and gives them a lumper. It would certainly be a win for Everton if they are losing faith with Rafa.
  15. This is why I’m convinced they feel the need to create shitty little supporter clubs across the NE.
  16. Exactly most people especially North of Tyne just see Newcastle and North Tyneside as one big conurbation. The fact we have the best coastline in North East with great towns and a vibrant regional capital city in the radius of 10 miles, they simply will always have a chip on their shoulder. Tyneside or Wearside there’s simply no comparison in the grand scheme of things.
  17. Yeah seems like he’s been shackled and looks lost in current system. Same with Almiron aswell, the whole set up just reeks of negative tactics.
  18. If where going 4 at the back and considering the lack of creativity in midfield, the West Ham system would seem our best bet. All you need is 2 holding midfield players to protect back 4 and then the 3 attackers behind Wilson. Fraser - Almiron - St Max If you wanted to mix it up Willock could possibly play central in the 3 and move Almiron wide for Fraser. There are undoubtedly ways the team can be set up better, the trouble is the useless cunts in the dugout presently.
  19. What’s Gus Hiddink upto these days ?
  20. Be interesting to see if someone has a word in his ear after these last 2 games, if he is in charge against Brighton. Surely he must have had some regrets last night after that gutless team selection. Not buying all this cautious shite about being cut apart if you press the top teams high up the pitch. You only need to look at Palace and Brighton yesterday to see that even the top teams make mistakes when pressed. We’ve got the players to go there and have a right good go with the right selection such as the following. Dubravka Fernandez- Lascelles - Schar Manquillo Lewis Willock Longstaff St Max Wilson Almiron
  21. I think the great news is we have some decent options and the financial muscle to get them. The reality is we’d now be absolutely fucked under Ashley with no chance of Bruce being sacked. Whilst I get frustrations with the delay, ultimately at least we know we now have the people to try and fix this. They’ll be doing everything in their power to get us out of this make no mistake.
  22. If Rangnick and Favre are announced this week I think everyone will get a shot in the arm, supporters and players alike. I see Emery has emerged as the new favourite with William Hill, again this would be a decent appointment on paper. However, i get the feeling they want Overmars and ten Hag ideally or Rafa. I think with the 6 point gap we’ll see the full force of the Death Star unleashed this week. I wouldn’t be surprised if they break the bank for Rafa or ten Hag, at the very worst we’ll get one of the former or possibly Gerrard due to McPartland and Owen Brown links.
  23. They won’t cut their losses, it’s a long term project and they know fine well the gravy train is the PL. As much as peoples default position is to expect to the worse with NUFC, the reality is they will get this right, it might just take a while. These first few weeks were always going to be fraught and difficult for them.
