  1. It’s going to be Elanga for 40 million I’ve got no doubt.
  2. Mackems on their holiday to the North Easts premier coastal resort.
  3. Yeah key position in the modern game and even the great managers should be challenged from within on transfers. Still think Ferguson had a part to play in the Mancs downfall by the end with him and his brother signing a pile of shite like Nani and Anderson from Sporting.
  4. What about a keeper, forward and midfielder to cope with all these extra games next season ?
  5. You’d think so but did they not want to pay 50 million plus for Guehi last summer and it was acknowledged that it would have needed a big sale to balance for PSR ? If we believe Mitchell he went along with the strategy already in place last summer, before declaring it not fit for purpose. Where going to find out what the strategy is pretty soon and if I was betting man I’d wager it’ll be PL experience with a premium price tag to boot.
  6. All about opinions but think it’s a blow seemed to be doing some great work with these young lads signing and most seemed to be aligned with taking a new approach to transfers after 3 windows because we couldn’t afford to be spending huge sums due to PSR. His PR wasn’t great at the start but if the plan is to spend 100 million plus on Guehi, Mbuemo don’t think many can complain if we end up back at square one with PSR.
  7. Disappointing doesn’t seem to have stayed anywhere very long, far from convinced this is a good thing and not keen on Howe having total control. Most managers are short sighted as their positions are vulnerable, should always be somebody detached with a long term plan in place to oversee a strategy. Disappointing and hope we get a top drawer replacement, history tells us this appointment will be months away though shit timing.
  8. I’m sure if it was just down to money PIF could guarantee him a lucrative move later in his career, I’d only be concerned if Barca, or Madrid come knocking.
  9. Willock and Longstaff going should free up some decent funds for a midfield upgrade hopefully. Feel like it’ll be Jacob Ramsey who hopefully has a higher ceiling and fits the mould.
  10. Is there a fan base with as many Walter Mitty’s as this lot ?
  11. Got to say I’d be disappointed if we pay big money out on Pedro, Semenyo or Elanga, all decent players and would improve the squad undoubtedly but not sure any of them take us to the next level. Elanga didn’t always start for Forrest and thrives on the transition, Semenyo seemed to tail off as the season closed and had some very poor showings down the stretch. Think Delap offers value for money at 30 million but really hope where not going to have our eye balls taken out just to get PL established players with a limited ceiling.
  12. Can see Burnley wanting 35 to 40 million for Trafford now, budget really won’t go that far this summer shopping in PL. Priority for me is CB, RW, CM, CF and keeper, we only fill these positions by shopping abroad this summer and failure to buy in all these positions will be exposed badly next season with the extra games.
  13. If Chelsea don’t want Santos we should be all over that, been sensational in France this season and we wanted him from Vasco.
  14. Still can’t work out what it was today that we were so poor in such a huge game. Can’t question the mentality after the cup run proved where not bottlers, poor tactics, the players ran out of steam finally, or we have just struggled against these type of teams at home this season, probably a combination of all 3. We also struggled badly against Leicester at home when we last qualified for the CL funny old game.
  15. Think him and Howe were fucked off with the performance and love them for that. I think I would keep him around for his mentality and can still do a job off the bench, or the odd game.
  16. Definitely Lindisfarne, Busker and local stuff should be the go to.
  17. He’s a fucking embarrassment and wants fucking binned, does more to kill the atmosphere than anything to enhance it.
  18. Chelsea and Arsenal would buy Gordon given the chance and think the club would be open to trading Barnes if a Villa, West Ham, or Everton offered us our money back on him. Certainly couldn’t sell both but Barnes would be the one I’d consider trading if the right offer comes in.
  19. Still rather keep him than Barnes as think he’s a far better player, but huge question marks about his mentality.
  20. Perfect Willock replacement be brilliant if them losing today allowed us to poach him. Offer Barnes in some PSR deal if they’re in the shit.
  21. Knew they’d play like they had something riding on the game, but we played completely into their hands with the 5 at back. Today’s performance this season isn’t in isolation, for today read Bournemouth and Fulham also where we just haven’t had enough about us at home. Always nice to end the season with a win so slightly disappointed, but all that mattered was top 5 and we now have a massive chance to kick on now.
  22. Squad needs a reset and would happily cash in on Barnes/Gordon, Longstaff and Willock this summer to raise additional funds if needed. Major opportunity with CL football to make the next step and think revolution rather than evolution is needed this summer. The midfield and wide forward areas are a major concern, real lack of quality in the final third that’s going to take big money to address.
  23. Square pegs in round holes and this five at the back has conceded the initiative, confident we’ll rectify this 2nd half but by god we need a midfielder in the summer if Howe doesn’t trust Willock and Longstaff anymore.
  24. Don’t fucking blow this today Howay The Lads.
