Sunderland. You know, they're down the road
  2. With most deals, selling clubs will want other buyers to come in for a bidding war, and those get the most active near the end of the transfer window. All clubs could negotiate before the window, if it were of benefit to everyone.
  3. Been with Reims since 11. And players don't always follow a linear curve re. progression I guess.

I'm sure Johnson didn't have blood on his _hands_
  5. Let's say a 'Kevin Gallacher' type signing then, even if the play style is likely different
  6. Not a super comparison by any means but more in terms of where he fits in the scheme of things. All good if he has tbh!
  7. It's more the crazy inflation of prices I can't get my head around. A Sibierski type signing is now 20 mil+ is it?
  8. It's all super frustrating. Without a doubt.
  9. No-one said that. Straw man argument.
  10. I don't know what you're talking about. Sorry. Clubs will hold out for the best possible offer on their assets. And may decide not to sell if they don't need to. Not sure how this is difficult to grasp.
  11. It's not simple project management, it's bloody game theory.
  12. Exactly, they wouldn't have. They'll always wait until we're in a weaker position. Some people here should never play poker
  13. Coutinho has a Portuguese passport, and worked in the UK before. He's been through the process, probably still has the prerequisite permit. I don't know about Azmoun but hiring foreigners in the UK has not got any easier over the last few years.
  14. I'm going out on a limb here, but there's no way an Iranian player would be granted a work permit quick enough for the next game. Probably not the one after either.
