No top-level club these days has one person calling all the shots. I agree the manager should have the final say. But the days of a manager doing everything is well and truly gone. That's two SD gone in two years. If Howe was to leave and take the England job next year with his entire backroom staff, we're back to square one with no infrastructure of plan in place. Hard to have a view on PM but it's no coincidence that our targets always range in such extremes from unknown french and brazilians to english players like Trafford and DCL. Maybe the Wilson talk was the final straw - who knows! Interested to see what happens next, I totally trust EH on the first team, but we still need to build the club from the bottom up.

Manchester United have to start again, they have zero spine or culture. To build that is the most difficult thing, even if you buy buy buy. Thats the remarkable thing about Howe and the signings of Trippier and Burn. Rather Barnes left. Gordon up top floating around and hassling their back four and Osula on the right. Wilson can barely move but hope he grabs a goal or can hold then ball up a bit or it could be a long day.

Ipswich (H) One of the easiest you can get. 3-0 Brighton (A) In very poor form and doesnt have Pedro for this game. 1-1 Chelsea (H) Not looking great and are playing the semi final in the conferance league semi-final 3 days before our game. 8pm Thursday and 12pm Sunday. Thats not a lot of rest, we just saw how that worked out for us. 2-1 Arsenal (A) We do seem to have their number and they will maybe have secured the 2nd place and have their head focused on the CL final. But hopefully we dont need anything here. 1-0 Everton (H) Tarkowski out injured. Should be able to get a win here if needed. Last game of the season and the fans will be pushing the players on. 3-1 10 points

My only issue with Barnes has been his lack of effort covering back at times. Saying that with Tino, they have dovetailed really well - he certainly has far more control and clinical end product than Gordon, so he's won me over of late. Was shocked yesterday when Murphy (who has offered a struggling Trippier very little support all game) was replaced by the energy of Gordon, who does a lot of running back. Only to be switched with Barnes. One, losing your attacking threat down the left and two, placing Barnes in front of Trippier providing even less cover. Gordon needs to play right wing when he comes on.

From what I've seen. Wilson is finished and should not be coming on and Osula wont make it, although, unlike Wilson, he can run around, even if he's not sure where he is running. Personally think he has more chance as a wide forward than a striker. Both are not good enough to stand in or play with Isak. But, I trust Howe and team to make the call on both, especially on Wilson, who should be offered to Ipswich as part of a Delap deal.
