Howe would surely agree to stay if we go down and in fairness would probably make a good manager for a successful first attempt at promotion. But personally would much rather just take a chance on Favre or Fonseca for the here and now

IMO Jones wants balance in the back three. Krafth is supposed to be playing an Azpilicueta type role as a right back converted into a right sided defender () and Clark plays on the other side because he's left footed. Of course both Krafth and Clark are utterly shit so that's where the tactics fail.

Fuucking hell. I had a feeling Jones was behind the Krafth as a RCB thing that was tried last season. He wants natural right/left footers on either side of the back three I think, ideally converted full backs. But Krafth is so bad, you can't play him under any circumstances

It's easy to imagine DOF/manager pairings based on the names we've been linked to. Campos/Fonesca, Rangnick/Favre, Overmars/Ten Haag. All three would be brilliant, let's face it. But in the case of Fonesca since he's the favourite, the 'risky' elements of his appointment would probably be offset by having such a good DOF arriving with him.

If it's not happening today then I imagine he's in charge for Palace. Seems unlikely for a new manager to be installed/take training on three days notice. So next week we go again hoping for his sacking?
