  1. Worried about having no real legs in midfield, I can see this getting embarrassing
  2. TBH I think they would initially as the longer they stop us from competing the better as far as they are concerned, which is why I would primarily focus on players from Europe initially until we become the team PL players want to play for and can then force through a move
  3. That’s how it works anyway, if you spend £100m on 5 players on 5 year contracts it only counts as £20m per season toward the FFP cap, the trouble comes if you keep spending £150m+ Year on year as by the time you get to year 3 your hitting the FFP ceiling, this is why it’s important to spend well. (this is what has happened to Everton this season, lots to spend but would break FFP rules if they did because of poor spending in year 1 and 2 ) the way round it is to give longer contracts 6-7 years because that then spreads the FFP rule over a longer term ie £20m toward FFP per season would become just over £14m per season
  4. Good thing is, if we do go for him you can guarantee we’re not wasting money on that lazy fucker bale
  5. Aye just had a £10 @ 66/1
  6. Too right, pussys, pussy man
  7. After everyone that’s been mentioned, ending up with Martinez would be like, shagging Jennifer Lawrence then pulling out to finish in Susan Boyle
  8. Leave the lions alone, they are my team
  9. As long as it’s not martinez, Gerard or lampard, I’m happy
  10. He was on a hiding to nothing after wenger
  11. That’s exactly what I’m saying, if we had approached Rafa or Rodgers it would have been leaked that they rejected us outright
  12. I think if we had approached both of them it would have been leaked that they had rejected us out right, I think the fact that no manager/agent/trusted Press guy has came out and said that they had rejected us, means the guys were talking to are interested in the job
  13. Martin Samuel is bang on, which is why we need to bring in a big sponsorship now if we’re going to, the PL lawyers will be telling them what they have just done is illegal and will get them into trouble if they try and enforce it, what they bring in, in 4 weeks time will likely be harder to bypass
  14. Wouldn’t get away with that, but there is nothing stopping the club opening a few club shops in Saudi and the PIF giving all 20m adult males £60 to buy a new Newcastle top, even if the club only got half that would still add up to £600m per season
  15. He’s a member of the PIF board, so is totally within his rights to talk about us as our majority owner, I think because he was being interviewed as the KSA minister of finance and not a PIF board member, he was trying to refer to PIF and NUFC as they.
  16. That’s the new rules that are applying to owner sponsorship, not our ownership
  17. Now that they are in were going by the same rules as Manchester City, who’s owner is the deputy prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and He is also the owner of the Abu Dhabi United Group (who own city), an investment company for the Abu Dhabi royal family, basically exactly the same as the PIF. So if they try to expel us they would also have to expel City
  18. Because it’s us, we would probably get a points deduction
  19. With our current squad that won’t amount to much
  20. Yeah without a doubt, it’s just easier to understand when it’s in round numbers, in theory we could spend £500m in January and not be bothered by FFP for 2 years
  21. It doesn’t really work like that, We could spend a lot for a few seasons before it begins to add up. For example we could spend £200m this season on 5 players and it would only cost the club £40m per season (+ wages) assuming those players signed 5 year contracts. The problem comes when we spend big for 2, 3 or 4 seasons because that £40m per season becomes £100m+ per season even when you've stopped spending. Which is why it’s imperative get in proper sponsors and grow our commercial revenue quickly.

  23. TBH, if the club was thinking about the main sponsor being Aramco or someone like that, now’s the time to draw up the paperwork and process it because the current ban is at best unlawful and at worst Illegal, which means they wouldn’t be able to punish us if we just went ahead and did it, once the lawyers tell them what they can and can’t do in the next 4 weeks that’s when it will be harder to get around
