  1. BEin would be in breach of the broadcast contract, PL could then resell the rights and sue Bein
  2. PIF won’t walk. They’ll not wait forever either. Edwards trying to wind fans up and he fulfills his purpose as to why as you're clearly demonstrating. Ignore him man the c*** hasn't got a clue. I’m not basing my thoughts on edwards, I thought this after reading times report yesterday. They even quoted a source from pif saying they wouldn’t wait indefinitely. I do believe this is the pif trying to speed the premier leagues decision up, however if you think logically what more can the pif do now after the govt announced crackdown on piracy. There is literally nothing else the pif can do now to ease piracy concerns, they’ve done all the can. I’m still confident it’s happening but if it goes past end of next week with no decision, I’ll be getting concerned at premier leagues motives. They will go to the government before they would consider walking away and the government would push it through, TBH if the PL haven’t cleared it by next week they are taking the p*ss and I could see the PIF dragging them through the courts I agree end of next week, then patience will start to wear thin. Let’s just hope these are the concessions the premier league asked for, and they’ve now delivered. The Saudis wouldn’t have done it off there own backs, these would have been the stipulations by the PL to pass the deal

  4. I can see the PIF putting pressure on the PL if it’s not cleared this week, they will be saying “we have done our part, make your decision or talk to our lawyers”
  5. TBH if it had anything to do with us they would have blacked out the PL as a threat this weekend, before our deal was likely to go, it’s no use to them after the PL has cleared our deal.
  6. Thread creation is for local people; there's nothing for new members here. Ahh right so I need to be around longer to make a thread? Any chance someone can make a thread of a realistic starting 11 the first game of next season?
  7. Is there any reason why I can’t make a thread?
  8. TBH I don’t think we will see much incoming air traffic because of the 2 week quarantine currently in force
  9. I don’t mind Villa any more TBH, after the turned Brighton over to give us the championship title I forgave them, I would much prefer to see West Ham go down
  10. Tucking typical this like, I have a nice bottle of red(2015 chateauneuf du pape to be exact)and 6 cans in the fridge, that have been in there since the original story broke in April are waiting to be cracked open, and I feel like shit and think I’m coming down with a cold
  11. There is always one that has to try and spoil it, I doubt that Saudi would be seen to be making concessions if they were planning on walking away though “The Times understands that the kingdom’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), which is providing 80 per cent of the money, will consider other options if the deal is held up indefinitely. While the PIF hierarchy still want the takeover to happen, and to have a presence in the Premier League as part of the country’s grand sporting ambitions, a source said that the PIF was prepared to walk away to consider alternative plans.”
  12. Nowhere near the amount of shit direct on the seats that I was expecting
  13. I despise the bloke, but it would be funny as fuck if he slapped in a bill to the PL for lost interest on the £300m because they have been dragging their feet
  14. Again that’s just an interpretation that’s what leaves this whole thing on a knife edge as everyone has different views on it. That's no interpretation, there is nothing in the report stating the government of KSA or PIF were directly involved in the transmission. No but the reporters who are saying it does are highlighting other points about them not shitting it down which shows they supported it and seem to believe that will be enough. You could say that about Amazon then also as you can install the Kodi/IPTV (and I presume BEoutQ) apps on the firestick so why have they not shut that down/stopped available downloads of these apps I honestly think the report gives the premier league enough room to decide either way and not suffer any backlash. Not sure I agree with that mind Same here, I think if they do turn it down it gets overturned on appeal, as there is nothing linking PIF with piracy. There is no doubt that it could and possibly should be turned down on moral grounds, but that ship sailed years ago with Russian, UAE, Chinese and Saudi ownership already in the premier league, so if they did take a stand now it would be ripped apart by the Saudi lawyers. Moral grounds are not part of the PL ODT. Exactly they are not as they choose to not put them in, so can’t turn us down. What I was trying to say on moral grounds the Saudis probably shouldn’t be able to buy a football club but that also goes for almost half of the other premier league clubs If they revamp the test after this takeover they may/could add such a rule, however morality is a minefield. I don’t think there is any doubt they will change the test after our takeover

  17. By the letter of what law? Does he say? All of the journalists will be saying this over the next few days “ it should have failed but there was just too much pressure on the PL to pass it”
  18. You reckon Henry Mauriss has that sort of cash like?, with Henry Mauriss we will most likely be in the EFL
  19. I think you will see it come out from the higher ups in Saudi on Twitter first
  20. Just think,if it’s true about the league cup next season with none of the top 7 taking part, if this takeover does go through we could be in prime position to actually win something in our first season with new owners.
  21. I was just thinking that, it’s been a very slow propaganda day today
  22. We can only hope, people will go mental if it isn’t though :frantic: :frantic:
