  1. Difference between Bale and Tino is I don’t think Bale was that good of a defender and he’s got a better shot than Tino. So can see Tino ending up more of a Zanetti type full back.
  2. We’ve got their number, even reading red cafe they are fearing the worst and that’s with us having barely 11 fit players.
  3. If Cole palmer can get in the England squad off the back of 5 games, don’t see why tino can’t be considered for left or right back, he’s absolutely brilliant.
  4. From the Guardian: Man of the Match: You couldn’t fault anyone in a Newcastle shirt, as all 11 players excelled in a superb collective effort. Lewis Miley deserves particular kudos, however, for an astonishingly mature performance in midfield that belied his 17 years.
  5. Or could be 6ft6 version of Patrick Viera, main thing is his touch is already class.
  6. Yep love the change in mentality. Still remember that game at Leicester where we were 4-0 up. They scored two late goals as we dropped deep and Bruce said afterwards ‘only at Newcastle’ could this happen…No, it was because he told the players to hold on.
  7. Crazy we’re only six points off the top despite our huge injury crisis?
  8. Great to see the young lad make his debut, had a good preseason and looks bit bigger than I remember him.
  9. We’re linked to Arouna Sangante, 21 year old centre back from Le Harve.
  10. Steve Bruce hits out at Sean Longstaff. He told Gambling Zone: "Sean’s move to Man United was never close. He was insistent it was but I knew Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - it was never on the cards. "He's entitled to his opinion (about me). We had him almost five years ago, he was a lot younger then. Not everybody is going to like you. There were times when Sean needed to mature and he has done. He's proven to be a good player.” #NUFC
  11. Les Ferdinand said on Sky about 10 mins ago he’d spoken to our hierarchy and they are prioritising a centre back, right winger and now a centre mid.
  12. Everyone did say Spurs had an easy start, now they’ve hit a hard run of fixtures and we’ll see what they are really about.
  13. There was one point where a ball was played into him in the middle and he was getting closed down by two players, he produced a perfect first touch and moved it on. That first touch is the difference between a class midfielder and a good one. so far this season he’s played Man City and Dortmund away, not bad for a 17 year old and will make other promising youngsters join us.
  14. We’re slight favourites with the bookies for this, which I find a bit strange after the first game.
