Can't play Miley and Longstaff together in the same team, as we're are just too open, with the two of them in the side. Got to hope Joelington will be ok. -
Bollocks, the rivalry of the people started during the civil war, escalated through the coal trade and surfaced again during the rise of the Jacobites. Unless you think there was two football teams during that time. I do agree with you on Brummie's post though, he's talking absolute shite concerning the only real rivalry being 'in city' derbies
-
I think you need to read up more. And I've already said the land was made up of three settlements. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Boldon_Hill https://englandsnortheast.co.uk/stuarts-civil-war/ https://research.leedstrinity.ac.uk/ws/portalfiles/portal/423616/Hidden_Axis_article_for_NH.pdf

The three settlements were far more than 100 people as they had been settlements for hundreds of years. You're totally right about the Scots forces and I never once mentioned about the fact they go on about 'we beat the mags', I was answering the point about there had been history between the two towns/cities going back to the civil war.
-
They existed aa three settlements and is documented history if you look it up. The civil war stuff is not mackem invention either it's historical fact
-
With the coal transport there was. Newcastle got a block on Sunderland transporting and merchandising in coal by being awarded the sole rights by royal decree
-
We had that in the play off final with exactly over 30 year ago. Not downplaying the rivalry between your two clubs, but you're quote on only same city derbies can be like that is bollocks. The NUFC and SAFC rivalry is based on history between the two towns/cities built up since the English civil war

The women's World Cup final

Are Halifax the team who refused to play at the start of the season, if so karma
-
Is it true we let them keep the entire gate receipts? Absolutely classic if we did
-
However, I felt we had a half hour spell where we were on top for decent parts. I've heard the lot now

He's a mate of mine 'the Geordie Arab, and has worn the exact same stuff for well over ten year
-
Keep hearing from the daft mackem fuckers about how good their football is and how Jack Clarke is a 30 million pound player. The faux outrage will be on a different universe the next few days.

FA Cup Third Round: sunderland (A) 06/01/24 @ 12:45 - Live on ITV

Bit harsh on the dogs there -
Seemingly he's missed over 40% of games since he signed. That's just not good enough for where we want to be. Either keep him as a third choice selection (I don't think he would accept that) or cash in this summer.
-
Get beat on Saturday and he's then under massive pressure like it or not. Get beat the two games after and we are struggling to qualify for any European football next year, which will impact on FFP and values of incoming sponsorship. I'm far from convinced that the PIF side of the owners will accept that. I think we will win Saturday (ok certainly should anyway).
-
It's only Howe who can change it though, I can't and nor can anyone else on this forum. Its only opinions we can make, means fuck all in the grand scheme of things though. 80% of those players then are squad players, as only Tonali was what I would call a first team regular. You improve your first team first and then automatically the squad will improve.
-
No cop out I've stated in my reply where I think it's going wrong. I can't change that though, only the people in charge can. Nobody has said they're doing it on purpose either, but mistakes are being made.
-
For Barnes we needed a right winger not a back up left winger. Tonali was the only legitimate first team player signed. I can't comment on what was known about his gambling, but the Italian FA obviously were made aware I've mentioned a few times that you improve your first team line up first, which automatically results in squad improvement.
-
I answered it well enough I thought, signings overall and tactics away from home. It's not for me to answer what would I do differently, as I can do fuck all about it anyway
-
Wrong signings made, wrong tactics away from home and players out of form getting a game. I actually think I answered it, but I'm not the person the questions should be asked to, which was the point I made.
-
Ask the men at the top they're the ones paid millions, poor transfer window, poor tactics away from home. I've never seen once this season away in the league, a press or starting the game on the front foot (except against a terrible Sheff Utd team). We have just conceded the most shots in a premier league team this season. Defeats against Luton, Forest, Everton and Bournemouth. So yes questions should be asked, or are we going down the Benitez line again. These last 6 weeks have been shockingly bad and we look like a team fighting relegation and the defence looks like a sieve.
-
We look like a team fighting relegation these last 6 weeks or so, it's been shocking how many chances they have had. Questions have to be asked as this is simply not good enough
-
We need to get first team players in, not players with possible potential in a year or two. The first team needs upgraded first and I would certainly be asking questions if that's not the case, in this and the next couple of windows.
