Win the arbitration case and that reported issue wouldn’t be a problem either.
-
Hopefully they get beat next two (decent chance) as they will then be in danger of missing the play offs also
-
Yeah I forgot about football law - good point.

The Premier League are fighting the seperation because they want the opportunity to knock it back by having the Saudi state being responsible for piracy. They can't do that if PIF are deemed seperate from the state. My hopes are that the WTO report stated they were a seperate body and now the Oliver Dowden the minister of sport has been documented as saying this also. Let's just hope the legal team can push it through (by all accounts both are the within the top QCs in their field - if not top). Hopefully we are on the final straight either way.

Pretty sure it’s 14 days once it has began. There is a reason why there has been a frenzy of media articles suddenly started to come out again after a couple of month of pretty much silence. Also there is definitely no coincidence that De Marco has highlighted leaks within his latest tweet. I honestly think arbitration is not too far off starting and the Premier League are leaking info again to try and add pressure.
-
Wait for the arbitration that’s all we can do. Let’s see if legally PIF are separate from the state. It does not matter what people say or think if they are or not, it’s what legally can be proven. Win the arbitration and it goes through. The leaks this week are off the scale and I honestly think we’re on the back straight for a arbitration decision.

Yeah I agree.

Don’t think you will as it would be media open season if dates were announced. After a couple of months of it all being pretty quiet, there’s been a frenzy of media articles this week. Things are ramping up again.

Jason Burt making his colleague look like the incompetent cunt that he is.

Every legal case is never a 'sure shot' and at some time you have to back the arguments and facts you have within your legal case, otherwise what is the point of entering arbitration in the first place. The Premier League's legal team are not going to step down that's for sure.
-
The article said considering an appeal, which was reported at the time of the decision - old news then. I would be gobsmacked if they did actually appeal.
-
Others would
-
Maybe, but it has been leaked though. Just saying some thoughts and not trying to be negative.
-
The only thing that makes me question this, is not the lobbying, I get that, but that the article is reporting that MBS was basically threatening to cut relations as a direct result. Pretty sure that’s not in the lobbying protocol.
-
Everything is until the arbitration case is concluded. Hopefully in the not too distant future so everyone can put it too bed once and for all. The last 24 hour press releases have given ammunition to both sides to start trumpeting off again. Best just to wait for the final decision.
-
Yep I agree with this.
-
things seem to be ramping up again. Some good articles by Hope and Musgrave highlighting the corruption going on. Hopefully this will feed in to De Marco’s case (I’m sure it will).
-
I know a forum is here to discuss thoughts and opinions, but maybe best to wait for what exactly is happening before jumping to conclusions either way. We will probably know a bit better tomorrow. If it’s nothing I’m sure Edwards will be the first to report it.
-
Not saying you’re wrong, but pointless doing assumptions until it’s cleared up exactly what is meant by new owners. No doubt be cleared up by tomorrow either way.
-
Come on how many times have we seen article headlines which are not done by the journalist being incorrect. Don’t get me wrong sounds very interesting, but let’s not get too carried away.
-
That’s the big question who is the new ownership that’s being mentioned. New owners of the club shop or new owners of the club. Could be massive news or nothing, we will soon find out I would imagine.
-
Play offs it is for them, mind defeat in the next two (Hull and Blackpool away) and even that could be in question
