I'd love to know how sports journalists even attempt to get information on transfers. Seems like agents are the only ones with any incentive to provide them with information, and even that will be designed to stoke interest or inflate a fee.
Nonsense profession for the most part.
Club officials, managers and players leak plenty too in exchange for more positive relationships/coverage. See Steve Bruce for one example. Ashley/Charnley with Sky too.
Also ‘tactical’ leaks to force other clubs/players hands. We could’ve leaked that we were close to signing another CB if we wanted Lille to make a quicker decision, as one example.
But aye, it’s largely a nonsense profession based on anything other than facts. Journalism in general is the same though - basically people forcing their own opinions/agendas on you.

What are you supposed to see when you click on the season tickets section of the ticket account? At the moment its just blank on the screen that I look at.
I created an account for a family member who is a long term ST holder, as they should be in the running to get me a ST? But there's nothing on the site that states that they are eligible to apply tomorrow?
Blank screen means ineligible. You’d see the option to buy one otherwise.

Don't think many were prancing around like Anna Pavlova to go to Hapoel Bnei Sakhnin tbh.
This was before your time mate, well over 15 years ago.

Wouldn’t be against a small percentage of away tickets being balloted to members as well as ST holders.
Didn’t we used to do a ballet for ST holders for European away games? Could swear I remember filling in paper forms and sending to the Box Office.

☝️ could work. At the risk of displaying my ignorance, does having a CEO really matter in a football environment where we’ve got a clear direction and leaders much closer to the ‘business’?
Will be a huge amount of transformation needed from what Ashley left. The backroom departments, negotiating proper contracts etc.

Very true.
I knew there’d be increased demand after the takeover but never expected this.
Only going to get worse too.
If you don’t have a ST now, the chance of getting one (and also access to away games) is next to none. It’ll be a closed shop for a long time.
Not even sure what the answer is to give as many people opportunity as possible.

It seems they've put the first three together and given them access to the 1,000 they're releasing for sale on Tuesday.
It could be that there is another chunk of tickets that they are going to release via a ballot, or they were going to do that but have since changed their mind and not removed the page from the website?
They’ve done absolutely nothing like the Trust suggested like Goes to show the very little clout they actually have.

Great. Another 2 signings after Botman and I would say it's been a very good window.
Winger, striker & CM with some deadwood moved on and I’d be very happy.

What I've seen of Botman looks impressive, but similar to Dortmund being after Ekitike, the best defender I've ever seen rating him and trying to take him to AC Milan is a big indicator for me.
I was thinking that - Maldini will know a good defender when he sees one.
To be fair, Bruce was a fantastic defender and he was still absolutely clueless.

I said the same in the other thread.
Other clubs will come sniffing. Despite what some think, he's a PL centre back for the right team and one of our few saleable assists.
I assume you mean one that’ll get relegated.

Worse thing is I even google’d the spelling and still fucked it up.

I think the past ticket history is a way of trying to stop touts obtaining the few available. You could make a case for any date but the further you go back, the less protection it’d offer.

Is there any actual rumour about Paqueta or is it entirely a fan-made one based on the fact he’s friends with Bruno and came to Newcastle once?

It’ll be forgotten that these £30m+ fees will be spread over multiple years with several clauses.
It’s not MA’s NUFC anymore where we are led to believe everything has to be paid upfront so we’re handicapped.
If we spend £200m this summer (we won’t, but as an example), it’s probably actually only £100m this year.
We can then increase our revenue over time which will support the future clauses plus allowing us to do other business each year. We’ll have actual real sponsors.
-
Seems to be a solid signing. Good business done so far, it must be said.

According to ando it’s just the beginning. If you believe that kinda thing
Sounds like another bold prediction that we might make other transfers between now and the end of August, as we sit here in June.
Weird how these two signings seem to have hoodwinked him though.

Fucking furious with that photo and never wanted him anyway.

That 'breaking' story was 24 hours ago when 360 tweeted it
GFFN are basically the French version of 360, just pulling together all the stories no matter how tenuous or unlikely.
