  1. Has any journalist other than Kennedy directly said arbitration is happening/going to happen?

All I’ve seen is references to the club preparing a case etc. It’s also been reported on numerous occasions KSA and Qatar have had no conversations yet about Bein. How long does it take to ‘prepare’? It’s apparently been in progress since the start of the season when the takeover collapsed.

Where is the confidence coming from that something is even happening? We’re all agreed we have instructed QCs, but to do what? Nobody even knows what the club are aiming to achieve. The confidence appears to be coming from random cryptic tweets from people who claim they know stuff but nothing they have said in 4 months has come true (other than the club releasing two statements which is hardly groundbreaking... some apprentice working on the website could know that).

Absolutely nothing substantial has been reported on this since PIF pulled out. Unless you believe every handshake/conversation in KSA is in some way related to our takeover, which is the stuff made out of fairytales.

If there was a takeover in place, there is no way MA would allow Bruce to sleepwalk to relegation. That’s the massive indication right now that absolutely nothing is happening. Proof before everyones eyes which holds more weight than some crackpot on Twitter.

  2. Probably up to a 7 now. Will be 8 if we don’t win at the weekend.

Incredible really. We shouldn’t be anywhere near relegation this season with the players at our disposal.

  3. Southampton got to be in danger of getting dragged in. Got some quality in them but form absolutely awful, worse than ours or anyone's. 4 points ahead of us.

That’d require us to win two games.

There’s only 12 games left and we’ve only won two out of the previous 15. We’ve also had the ‘new hidden manager bounce’ after Jones came in.

With the injuries to ASM, Miggy and Wilson we’ll be lucky to reach two more wins.

The only way we’re staying up this season is if Bruce is sacked.

  4. Jamie getting his pissy knickers in a twist there.

Just demonstrates the extent to which some of these precious little c***s get away with spouting utter s*** week-in/week-out without being challenged.

He came across dreadfully during that exchange  Proper spoilt little prick.

Thought Mark Hughes legit came across well yesterday.  Didn't say much in any great depth, but didn't produce the cliché reem others default to.

He’s the least odious PFM, imo.

  5. Interesting take from Keith here re legal action going past March.

    So interesting

In the summer he’ll state he never said which March.

You can mock but time will tell my friend.

Two months on from this post and it’s now officially come true

I’ve been a big believer in all of this, but how long can we hear:

‘It’ll be done by May June July August’

‘Arbitration will be done by January February March’

Actions speak louder than words now. So far, we’ve had f*** all actions.

The next ‘deadline’ will almost certainly be the end of the season next. Then we’ll have wild speculation all season before we hear it’s off and the cycle begins again.

12 months on, we’ve still seen no actions to back up any of this confidence.

  6. His position surely can’t be tenable much longer  He literally threw four players under the bus on Saturday and has blamed almost every single one of them at some stage this season.

Rumours of an unhappy squad have lingered for a long time now. Lascelles didn’t do much to squash those runours on Saturday night.

  7. At this stage in the season, looking like no takeover, Ashley having zero interest, I’m not sure i want someone else coming in and carrying the can for what Bruce has done all season.

He should stay here and own it (if we are relegated), if he leaves and we still go down those f***ing pundits will drive this narrative of “you never know, he might have turned it around”

I don’t want them having anywhere to hide.

My hatred of Steve Bruce is heavily outweighing my love for this version of the club right now

    Couldn’t agree more.

  8. Just seen the equaliser for the first time. I think it's a bit harsh to blame Dubravka, it would have been a top save if he'd kept it out.

Tend to agree. It’s saveable but it’s a very good header as well.

It looks much more saveable when it’s slowed down in replays. During real time I thought Dubravka was unlucky not to save it and just beaten by the pace of the header.

Good result for Bruce though. A good deflection of blame from him.

  9. So looks like February has come and gone without even a hint of an update. It’s almost like certain people have been talking s****. Meanwhile we are nearer relegation that we have been this season

This ‘good news’ has been pushed back month by month by the same sources.

I was very much a believer in this until January. Now it’s clearer than ever that fuck all is happening.

  10. As much as I can’t stand Steve Bruce, he was genuinely unlucky tonight - injuries to key players ruined us and changed the balance of the game. Doesn’t excuse 18 months of s**** though.

    No.

His poor tactical and personnel changes to react to those injuries changed the balance of the game.

Give over man. Who would you have put on to replace our two best players and keep dominance in the game?! After Wilson, ASM and Almirante we’ve got nothing.

As others have said, the defence looked a total shambles after the third substitution. They didn’t have a clue what was going on. Which contributed to the equaliser.

I wouldn’t have bought Murphy on at all. And as I’ve already sat, why the tactic was to sit on the edge of our own box and give them the ball after we scored I don’t know. We aren’t coached well enough defensively to try and do that.

Plus the questions of why we are the only team in the league who seem to persistently have to make 2-3 subs a game for injuries. You reap what you sow.

If was ‘unlucky’, none of the above would apply.

  11. As much as I can’t stand Steve Bruce, he was genuinely unlucky tonight - injuries to key players ruined us and changed the balance of the game. Doesn’t excuse 18 months of s**** though.

    Not a f***ing chance.

He had no plan other than let ASM and Miggy do all the running. As soon as Miggy pulled up we were on the back foot all game. Shows how much he does tracking back.

How the f*** has he not had a word and told Ritchie not to be a selfish t***. Who the f*** takes that shot on? f***ing disgrace and he does it multiple times in every game he plays. Get that ball in the box and we could have created something.

Kids of times if we actually passed the ball we could have moved forward instead of being caught in possession and it’s been the same since he was here and he’s not f***ing changed it.

He was not unlucky, his hens just came home to ducking roost.

    Completely agree.

A competent manager would’ve had us 2 or 3 nil up in that game.

  12. I’ve not seen it back, but did the Saiss block on the line get VAR’d at all?

It looked very close to including a hand like.

It wasn't handball, it hit his arm where his arm should be.

 Fair enough, not seen a proper replay of it. Just seemed odd they didn’t really look at it at all considering how close it was.
