Refs are just getting worse every game.
Even the biased commentators agree it was a foul ?

6 goals conceded in a game and a half against Luton and forest.
11 in 3 and a half....
Could be worse, it could be Bruce playing for a 1.0 loss

As an aside, we have become a very naiive team for NOT committing cynical fouls when defending transitions.
Because we only have 3 fit cms and one a yellow card away from a booking.

Andy Hinchcliffe, he hates us .
I know ... It's bad enough knowing our problems without him telling us every second!

Who is the co commentator tonight?

What I love about Chelsea is they went 'Big'.
High profile manager...who outside of PSG has won nothing
High profile transfers... Who nobody else was bidding anywhere near the price they paid.
Lengthy contracts.. thinking at worst they could flip the players but now the market is stalling and the potential they bought is yet to show.
I mean if they sack Poch, does the next manager(s) have to work with the current squad or sell more home grown youngsters to balance the books.
Its exactly the opposite of what we did, slowly, slowly being replaced with American gung ho and believing money would solve everything

He’s clearly not a top top player or he wouldn’t be sat next to Matt Ritchie with everyone fit. He’s a very fine flat track bully goalscorer off the bench but his day has been and gone as a regular starter for us.By everyone do you mean Isak ?
He is more then capable of covering for him without us worrying that he will not score goals.

He does love the dirty side of the game and doesn’t shy away from it. But does he have the athleticism to screen the defence and get across to wide areas when required? Does he have the discipline to actually sit in and help keep our shape? Is that even a requirement or an instruction in Howe’s system?
With Miley and Longstaff either side of him. Our complete lack of pace and power in the midfield is dreadfully exposed. Bruno also has to play further forward and force the issue. As we don’t have ball carriers or midfielders capable of playing a through ball or unlocking a defence other than him, really. Although Miley is already showing he’s pretty good with his forward passing, TBF.
I’m not sure how you’d quantify it. But that midfield 3 yesterday must be the slowest and weakest in the league when it comes to physical attributes.
Basically at the minute, get past our front 3/first wave of our press and our team is slow as fuck across the board.
I reckon that's why Murphy kept tucking in so deep inside at times.
He was almost there as an extra body and provide more legs.

I wouldn’t say so. This Luton team is decent enough and Liverpool, City and Arsenal struggled to get past them this season, they also slapped Brighton 4-0 last week.No sorry I meant we have the habit of throwing away wins against newly promoted teams.. Blackpool, Derby, Luton etc.
I'm sure we give Derby 4 of their 9 points that year

1 point from Luton for the whole season is unacceptable imo.
Nearly up there with Derby in their worst ever season !

Bruno could not walk never mind run for most of the game.
But surely keeping him on the pitch could risk him for the coming games.
I would rather take him off but our the lack of transfer activity has caught up with us
-
-
Left field.. but surely someone needs to sign Jessie Lingard this window or he might as well retire.
I mean the only other player I can think of with such a drop off was Jack Wilshire but at least he had injury problems

Never seen this thread this low in the thread list a day or so before the window shuts. Absolute honking window this has been for everyone in general.
Glad we've kept hold of Trippier though. Would have been even an even worse January if we didn't.
I do wonder how close some clubs are sailing to the wind with regards to financial fair play.
I bet there is one or two who needed to sell to balance the books but are now sweating as nobody is buying in this window!

Loans are never easy either when we are not a perennial relegation candidate anymore. You need a player who's good enough for us and a team who are willing to loan that player to us.
The problem for winter loans is that Eddie would bed them in until they were upto speed and hyper fitness.
Ignoring Hall... Even Gordon as a perm buy needed the summer break to catch up

Why can't we love both Keegan and Robson with equal measure?
Both have been the highlights of my football life and will defend them both to the hilt.
I bet if Robson had replaced Keegan straight away, we would have continued to improve or maintain those levels.
It still breaks my heart how that team was ripped apart by dalglish and the board.

Geordie boys are on the beers"

God the commentators are absolutely gutted... You can hear it in Dixon's voice

Wow
Worst player on the pitch lol

I didn't think Bruno was having a bad game until I realised he was actually playing tonight!?!

Edwards naming Kone and Thuram as possible targets, does say them taking time to adapt to English football is potentially putting us off.
Wonder what he said about... 13 goals later!
But to be fair he never did understand the offside rule or that you were not allowed to spit on people so he might have a point lol

Never mind any personal rumours.
It's Bayern Munich, one of the top elite clubs in Europe.
As much as I Iove Newcastle, I think every players head would be turned if they were interested!

The club has some form of doing exactly that in allowing Wood and Shelvey to go last January, when theoretically much more was on the line (top 4 qualification).Neither player would have started games at the end of last season
