Well that second half was an embarrassment but only one way to fix it, beat the Mackems, have some rest during the international break then plenty of time for Howe to work with the players before the season run in and back to one game a week, where hopefully Bruno Schar Miley are back and we can give it a push for Europa League/Conference League

Chelsea vs. Newcastle United: 14/3/26 @ 17:30 (Sky Sports)

Who plays holding? Id probably say switch it to 4231 ( Eddie won't) Ramsey & Willock and then Woltemade behind Gordon -
Meant to be in for 6-8 players in the summer depending on outgoings It does seem like we will be going for a bit more talent from abroad with recent links to younger foreign players from Europe over the last few weeks. Really need to improve our quality in squad depth for if we somehow qualify for Europe or for when we next do so we are more ready.

Fantastic atmosphere tonight but how have the club allowed tons of Barca fans in the home end? Had 3 of the fuckers sat in front of us filming every single Barca player and then celebrating when they scored the pen!

Gutted them scoring last kick of the game but really proud of the lads, still in the tie -
6-8 Signings is a big overhaul again so hopefully this time we get it done better and quicker than last summer. Depending on outgoings we really need to be going for GK, Left back, right back, centre back, striker ( can't see us shifting Wissa or Wolte, think Osula likely to leave) at a minimum, more if more players leave than the expected out of contracts of Trips Schar Krafth and Ramsdale loan ending

The slim chance we have of Europe, which we likely aren't going to get. -

Would probably take a point if offered it, hopefully the crowd makes it a good atmosphere from the off regardless of how poor we have been playing and we give it a good go. -
The lad needs to be cut some slack, way the pundits and press are going on is rank. We've had a poor season but where would we be without the fair few goals he has scored, went through a flying start and needs support when the going has got tough. He never played as a sole striker for Stuttgart but as part of a two up top, hes done alright for his first season in the Prem, having to lead the line on his own with piss poor service and having to play in midfield. Think the only way you get him playing at his best is change the tactics so he has someone in front of him or alongside him up top. It's not nice the witch hunt and scapegoating he is getting from the press when players like Wissa, Elanga, Pope, Trippier and a few others should be getting equally or more called out

Just the small matter of a brutal March schedule next...

Either that or Ramsey is on the wing -
It's clear as day he needs players close around him to make things happen, last few games where he's played deeper he's looked good and he is creative with nice touches of the ball and flicks to unlock better attacking options. He's not an out and out finisher, would like to see him playing in the 10 and Gordon playing off him quite a few times for rest of season. He's came to the Prem, was thrown straight into the deep end without a pre season with us and has scored 7 Goals in 23 games so far, one less than Gyokeres and one more than Sesko. There's defo a good player in there and think some should hold judgement on him until we see how he does next season as well.
