Think I'm in the minority that likes it, tempted to get it next week but don't know if I should just wait til it gets a sponsor or not

How long does the credit in the bank of winning a cup last? Couple months of next season? All of next season? 5 years? We dropped off a cliff this season .... That Cup Win should of been the start to kicking on but some people are like well we've won a cup doesn't matter now whatever happens

Howe will always go down as a club legend for what he's done but think it's time for change, new manager, new ideas and their new signings as things have went stale and a massive rebuild is needed. I get the mitigating factors as to why this season has played out like it has, losing star striker, Wissa getting crocked, fair few new signings not delivering but to lose 25 points from winning positions is not acceptable and shows there is a mentality issue. We only a while ago were such a high pressing energetic side and most of this season we have looked lazy. He had all season to figure it out and simply couldn't. Majority of the season its been the same story, get a goal, sit back, fuck it up. Players getting played out of position often and today we must of went through about 3 different formations, most of the game our players had no clue where they were meant to be. Does Eddie have the balls to get rid of his favourites like Murphy and Burn or if he stays will he keep shoehorning them into the team? Complaining about the amount of games we are having and the players need a rest and plays a strong 11 against Qarabag when we are 6-1 up, then when we have a two week international break and are back to a game a week we go and lose 3 in a row. And for people saying oh we played so many games etc, Villa won the Europa League and finished 4th. All season played the same 433, had a striker playing in midfield, same like for like subs on the 70th minute, only tried to change things up with 3 or so games left which was far too late.

It is but if we won by 1 and they lost by 2 we'd finish on exactly same goal difference, goals scored, goals conceded so would miss out on head to head. If we won by 2 and they lost by 1 then we'd qualify if the other results went our way

They'd have to draw against the mackems otherwise mackems have a good chance of qualifying for Europe. Not too fussed about Europe as long as finish above them

8th for conference league is possible but Chelsea can't get more than 2 Points in their next two games, wed have to beat Fulham by a couple goals and Brentford lose to Liverpool by a couple of goals.

You can't go from 5th one season to 14th the next season with 5 games to go and not expect talk of the sack. Yes we have over achieved in recent years, lost our star striker and this season was always gonna be a transition season but not getting top 8 with this squad this season is bad, especially considering the amount of points we've dropped from winning positions. The criticism Howe is receiving is fair, complaints of playing 3 games in a week ( Villa manage it fine and didn't spend much last summer) then have a 3 week break after the derby, back to one game a week and serve up two shit performances and losses against Palace and Bournemouth. Players are to blame, PIF didn't cover themselves in glory last summer but Howe is deffo to blame for keep playing the same formation, waiting to the 70th minute to make like for like subs and sticking with players who are clearly past it. He also signed Elanga, that's a sackable offence in its self 😂 He won us a trophy, will always be remembered fondly but it's went so stale, with a massive rebuild needed, a new manager, their new signings and fresh ideas is what we need.
