Ah well, season without Europe probably be for the best, if Chelsea win hopefully gives them confidence to stuff the mackems and we win to finish above them
-
It is but if we won by 1 and they lost by 2 we'd finish on exactly same goal difference, goals scored, goals conceded so would miss out on head to head. If we won by 2 and they lost by 1 then we'd qualify if the other results went our way
-
They'd have to draw against the mackems otherwise mackems have a good chance of qualifying for Europe. Not too fussed about Europe as long as finish above them
-
8th for conference league is possible but Chelsea can't get more than 2 Points in their next two games, wed have to beat Fulham by a couple goals and Brentford lose to Liverpool by a couple of goals.

Newcastle United 3-1 Brighton & Hove Albion - 02/05/26

Been in hospital back end of this week so unfortunately miss the game BUT HOWAY THE LADS * We will probably win seen as I'm not there! -
We aren't going down but that Brighton late equaliser against Spurs or the late Osula winner against Manu when we look back could be vital .... It's fine though we win today
-
24-25 Villa were in the Champions League, reached the Quarter Finals of that, the semi final of the FA Cup and finished 6th in the league....

You can't go from 5th one season to 14th the next season with 5 games to go and not expect talk of the sack. Yes we have over achieved in recent years, lost our star striker and this season was always gonna be a transition season but not getting top 8 with this squad this season is bad, especially considering the amount of points we've dropped from winning positions. The criticism Howe is receiving is fair, complaints of playing 3 games in a week ( Villa manage it fine and didn't spend much last summer) then have a 3 week break after the derby, back to one game a week and serve up two shit performances and losses against Palace and Bournemouth. Players are to blame, PIF didn't cover themselves in glory last summer but Howe is deffo to blame for keep playing the same formation, waiting to the 70th minute to make like for like subs and sticking with players who are clearly past it. He also signed Elanga, that's a sackable offence in its self 😂 He won us a trophy, will always be remembered fondly but it's went so stale, with a massive rebuild needed, a new manager, their new signings and fresh ideas is what we need.

Could be saw in two ways really, either we were in the shit so they did this Or it's a positive and we've eventually started doing tactics like City and Chelsea have to get around the financial rules. Just when you see if the stadium stuff hasn't happened, it's a massive loss.
-
We must have been very much in the shit PSR wise to have to use the stadium loophole, especially when we didn't make notable signings for a while. Looks like a few big names will be off this summer and we will have to not get attached to players moving forward as this will end up being the norm for a while

What the fuck is Eddie saying to them at half time man Good first half then just come out like we don't give a fuck SHITE

Win, don't care how, just win! -
Well that second half was an embarrassment but only one way to fix it, beat the Mackems, have some rest during the international break then plenty of time for Howe to work with the players before the season run in and back to one game a week, where hopefully Bruno Schar Miley are back and we can give it a push for Europa League/Conference League
