The Trippier and Wood signings were drawn out affairs. There's a lot of noise from agents agreed but from where I'm sitting the club are using the media too, probably to try and pressurise clubs to sell.

I can't equate it to the Bruce sacking as that was truly bizarre. Everyone knew this was going to be a tough window, January always is, especially when trying to rebuild a squad. One guy I don't see mentioned is Goldson at Rangers. He's out of contract in the Summer and he's angling for a move back South - ex Brighton. He was a rock last season and has EPL and European experience. They're my Scottish team so wouldn't like to see him go but he's better than anything we have playing at CB currently IMO and wouldn't cost a fortune. Worth thinking about.
