Was thinking the same, surely they already know what players are for sale at the right price and who would be willing to come and it's just a case of making club and player a better deal than any other team and obviously persuading players to join a relegation fight, you would think finding out who is available would have been completed ages ago.

I get the worries about fitness and yes it would be a total waste of a space and money if he got injured again but if we could get him fit and up for it I think he would make a huge difference to the relegation fight, big chance to take though.

Completely different type of player, can't see Willlock being able to spray passes about and keep the ball.

Take Ramsey in a heartbeat if he can stay fit enough, would help control the midfield and we would be miles better creatively.

Really hope we sign a good number of players, I think it will be just as hard in the position we are in to get enough quality through the door in January as it will be to stay in the league. So many positions needed to have any chance.

Don't think the Fraser Not a pen for me thought it was a great tackle. Desperately need at least 5 or 6 quality players in January. Still going to be a miracle but trying to keep the faith.

I'd actually prefer us just to get both the Manchester games out the window then go into lockdown and give us an extra couple of weeks to get some players through the door, can't see any points no matter who we sign from both those games anyway and the last thing new players need is to be part of another drubbing.

The football played with Bruce was terrible and so defensive it was laughable so can understand why Howe has gone with a more attacking midfield but our defence is so poor the opposition doesn't even need to play that well to score. He has a near impossible task. We desperately need a ball winner in there that can also play football, missing a winger on the right and another striker. Think we will perform much better at home but away this squad will give in to easy as soon as anything goes against us.

Wasn't expecting a win today but just the performance and attitude of some players have made it even clearer to me that I can't see us being able to stay up. Maybe if we got some serious players in January but can't see enough quality joining and even then they would need to hit the ground running. Still not even sure Howe knows his best starting 11. Next few games are going to dent the confidence even more. As said was never expecting 3 points but this team needs a serious overhaul and going to take more than January to see any real improvement in my opinion.

Think we are going to have to take 4 points from Leicester, Man u and Everton before Xmas, hopefully more to realistically be still in with a chance. Going to have to go on a run straight after that also so still going to be tough.

Definitely did OK to me today but I think it's one of the most important areas we need improvement in when January comes, obviously defense but apart from Shelvey being poor today he hadn't been that great since Howe came in or even start of season.

Showing some great passion and fight, really shows what having some confidence and belief can do. Looks like a player with skill when not playing upfront on his own. Who would have thought one of the biggest improvements in the Premier league never mind the toon.

Still not convinced like, better than Richie but thought he got lucky in possession a few times and if lost it could have left us exposed, passing wasn't great and his throw ins are awful.

Wouldn't mind seeing the 343 again but not sure if I trust Lascelles in there but might come back in anyway, would put Lewis and Manquillo as proper wingback like has been said. That formation really seemed to suit certain players.

Records speak for itself, no other club has ever managed to stay up from this position our confidence is now rock bottom. Could easily see us only getting a point at weekend or even worse and pick up very little after that until January. By then we would be better off concentrating on ypung players good enough for championship and potentially Premier and trying to get rid of the dead weight. Just can't see a miracle happening this time around and January coming too late

Thought both fullbacks looked good, much better playing players in there actual position weirdly. Not sure who will play though as seems to change every game and always some suprises

Just a shame Howe hasn't really had any games to find out which players are best to fit his style and are usable, was thrown straight in at deep end. Hopefully now is starting to get it together.

Surely after a takeover we need to find out who is up for the challenge, he's been here for ages now. Yes he will need more than 1 or 2 games after being ignored for so long but if he isn't good enough get him out. Same with every player now.

Naturally wide players getting stuck through the middle for me isn't good management, it's like being back Sunday league and sticking the guy upfront because he's a liability anywhere else. Surely they can adjust so someone from midfield can help more on that side if needs be and allow Saint to drift inside and create space and problems but must start from a wide position.
