Thought there was so much improvement in loads of players, Wilson looked off the pace though. Would be over the moon with that performance if it wasn't for the table. Easy to say we have 2 winnable games at home next and January transfer window but December is very tough and to me still looks an impossible task. If we had got Eddie in 3 or 4 games ago then I don't think we would have been so nervous at the back. We were much the better team and Darlow was terrible, was a must win for me today if we had any hope but would love to be proved wrong. Today's performance just shows what we have all said and Bruce and Ashley has fucked us over.

Agree totally but probably wants to seem approachable. In hindsight should have ran them all over, training ground should have more security when they are leaving.

From what I've seen Eddie had been getting out of the vehicle every night and getting photos and signing autographs, some players also stopping for the same without a mask in sight. Can't really blame the guy as can't be seen ignoring fans when just in the job but that's most likely where he has caught it

I agree Shelvey for along time has been awful and looks lazy, can't remember last time he had a good game but I'm willing to give everyone a chance and see if they improve, wasn't that long ago people were saying he should get into the England squad. Maybe with more bodies in midfield and more passing options going forward he could improve. Can't see him being there long term but as with others surely they have more to offer than they have.

Didn't watch him play but got the worst rating out of whole team, not that it says too much but just wondering if he put him in ASAP.

Be interesting if he sticks with Ritchie at lb, can't imagine without really having time with Lewis he would just stick him in, his confidence must be rock bottom.

Suppose it depends if he can stay fit, seems to be out for months with a broken nail.

I agree totally and it's probably the lack of service, frustration and confidence also but I'm sure his energy will improve, just last few games he's looked leggy but as you said I'm sure he will pick up

Different game now though, all the best teams have no passengers. Wouldn't want him constantly running back in fullback positions but definitely needs to put more of a shift in than he has been.

Would have loved to see Emery sign on the dotted line but I think I'm now more excited for Eddie, yes it might end up flopping but I think he will really give his all, he will try and play the football we all want to see, he will engage and care about fans and not giving us bullshit. I'm still worried for this season as its still the same shit players and it's going to take longer than a few weeks to see improvement and increase fitness enough but who knows. I've not been this excited and engaged in everything black and white for years now.

Don't think he is going to be world class but until the team really starts seeing whole sale changes over next season or so he could definitely be better, I do think we will see improvement in a few players him included, tbf looked pretty good when came on last game.
