Diaby hasn't even been that good for villa imo bailey has been their best wife player and he was injured most of last season and didn't look great. We aren't man city where we can make 2 high quality signings only we bought Barnes who is unlucky with an injury but his prem record speaks for itself and no doubt he will come good (just like Gordon has). Tonali is an unbelievable signing but we got unlucky with the ban. And livramento is a future England starting right back. Hall is still young and just needs to get up to speed, livramento had a full season in the prem with Southampton remember and is 2 years older than hall so we can't compare at all. We had a good window but our squad is years off being in the same position as city where we can just cherry pick 2 players.

I think we are definitely in with a shout. Hardest thing about the league is consistency and we have become a pretty consistent team. Albeit a poor performance against Brighton and Bournemouth away but beating arsenal, Chelsea and manure with a decimated squad I think over a 38 game season we are a top 4 team.
