Just had a look at a Burnley Forum and 95% of them were saying he's amazing and that they are annoyed the fee is so low. Can't believe we've stolen basically England's first choice keeper (If Gareth wasn't in charge) in his prime for 10 mil. Wild how we are getting such crazy bargains as the world's richest club. Not even just Pope it's Trippier, Burn and even Guimarães who has shown he's worth far more already.

Gareth has done wonders creating a great group spirit and positive atmosphire, he should have always been the assitant manager to someone with half a brain, some charisma and a forward thinking, attacking philosophy. His tactics just aren't working and it will destroy the good things he has created.

I don't disagree but in our current team if he recycled possession it just means Willock or Jonjo etc would give the ball away anyway.

I'd rather have Joelinton than Fred, at least Joelinton runs forward and inspires moments of hope. Fred is really uninspiring, even when he has a "good game".

Agreed, Hojbjerg was rated at one point but he's just a slightly above average midfielder, he's never going to be special.

So many times he wins the ball back in the opposition 3rd and plays a good pass and we haven't capitalised on the attack. That will change.

I was all in until this injury. We've had so many bad experiences with injury prone strikers. I have a feeling the deal may crumble now unless it's just a short term issue.

I think the budget thing is a lie that they've decided to peddle to keep things sensible. FFP is over 3 seasons so they can spend big right now and then rectify that by upping revenue over the next 3 years etc. They're being tactical to keep fees and expectations as low as possible and it probably is working to some degree seeing as many believe the lie. Maybe i'm wrong of course, but I have a feeling we'll spend over 100 mil this Summer, possibly more.
