But obviously made no difference because it didn’t affect him one bit. So we should try the same with this guy should because he is howling.
-
Could argue it worked with Burn then.
-
When your winger gets the ball just over halfway with acres of space to run into and he just stops and passes it back I think people are entitled to shout at him to fucking run like.
-
Must have the patience of a saint to watch how he’s played and not moan. It’s unbelievable how bad he’s been.
-
I’m more worried than I was at the weekend because I refused to believe he’d planned to play how they did on Sunday, thought the players just didn’t turn up, but if this is his evolution of the team we’re fucked. Still hard to believe it is given the recruitment in the summer other than Woltemade.
-
It was a bad game and we were awful but I can’t believe the plan was to play like we did. They just sidn’t turn up. I’d be seriously worried if they’d prepared to play like that.
-
Mate no one in the world is going to Sunderland with the plan of letting them have the ball. Burnley wouldn’t go there and do it.
-
No one sets out to play like that. We were shite.
-
He could have made something happen in the time until just before he was going off he decided to run. Absolute cunt the guy.
-
The only person that didn’t see that coming with Gordon and Elanga was the manager.
-
Talks about mentality and has none.

If it’s that easy to get tickets having a season ticket isn’t needed like it is now and I don’t think you could sell as many if prices continue going up. I’m sure the gap between the season ticket price and game by game will get closer, they just couldn’t whack season tickets up 100% as they might have wanted to after the 10 year thing. Could pick and choose and probably not miss anything you wanted to go to. I’ve read a few people in here that are really keen to go say they would have missed Tuesday night for some reason anyway. Some games are a pain in the arse for everyone.
-
No I didn’t mean that. But some of the argument for moving is that the ground is shit and it’s only the history and emotion that people like it. My argument is the new grounds are no better for the normal fan to watch a game in and the hopes of having a better atmosphere or it having better facilities are usually bollocks (other than corporate seats), so losing that history and emotional attachment should be important. The most fans we’ve had at a different stadium is obviously Wembley. I’ve not heard loads of people saying how good Wembley was when it’s likely we’ll end up something similar.
-
Ok. I understand a new stadium to make more money but I don’t understand how any of the rest of it improves things for watching a game of football. No other new stadium has improved the atmosphere, they’ve all got worse. if you take the emotion or history away from it being where we’ve always played all of football just seems pointless. I’d just go and watch the best game every weekend rather than one club.
-
Fair enough. I don’t really understand what facilities normal fans need though. Every new ground i’ve been to has been no easier or better to use the facilities that I need at a game of football (drink or a piss) and watching the game has been worse. Spurs is lovely inside an hour before the game or after the game but you’re in there an hour before the game and staying after because it is such a pain in the arse to get to/away from.
-
What do you want then? Just size and a nice building?
-
I don’t go to the football to see the rest of the stadium or what the building looks like from the outside. Go to the upper tier at Spurs and see how far away you are watching the game. Or City or the Emirates. And the concourses are still rammed and you’re better missing some of the game to get a piss quickly. All of them are more of a pain in the arse to get to or get away from.
-
They’ve all been built because they make more money as they are. For a normal person wanting to go and watch a game of football none are better are ours.
-
We should play our 19 home games at a different Premier League ground each week for a season so people see how none of these places are any better than what we have in terms of location, being able to get a piss at half time or watching a game of football.
-
Don’t think the concourse is any less rammed or easier to get a piss at the Emirates, Spurs or Wembley if you go at half time.
-
Touting is good for the clubs, they don’t really want to stop it. Can sell tickets for bombs themselves with some half arsed hospitality attached and people will buy them rather than using a tout.
-
Most players try harder when they’re playing shite rather than the other way around
-
Wouldn’t worry about him. He’ll read a book on the flight home about mentality, tell everyone about it then show exactly the opposite next week.
-
Absolutely fine if you ignore him not trying to score and running away from a, admittedly abysmal, pass from Willock and letting the defender walk off with it.
-
When he did it the first reports were he’d be out for a few months. The club said he wouldn’t but he has been so i’m sure they’re aware of when he’ll be fit. And holding him back so he misses games just so he doesn’t miss games later doesn’t make much sense.
