I think the four Arsenal games were probably our best performances of the season and we were missing one of the midfield three in all of them. The three of them being able to run like fuck is much of our play and Miley isn’t that. A loan for him would be ideal but we’d need at least two in if Longstaff goes to do that.

The empty seat makes so little difference when he’s not going to be used anyway.

He’s not going to play so having someone on the bench just for the sake of filling it is pointless if we could get money for him.

Yeah but every other club nowadays has that and a director of football so less gets passed on to the manager. Just adds more work.

I think the manager has earned the right to pick his own players now to some extent. But I also think it’s impossible to for him to have the time to watch enough football to know how good other players are outside of the Premier League.

Howe is in a far stronger position this year than last summer and I couldn’t ever see it working between the two of them.

Players shouldn’t be walking out with their kids and holding babies 2 minutes before kick off when you need to win. Leave it until after the game.

I think he hasn’t tried a leg and played poorly for most of this season. Every time he loses the ball his first reaction is to drop his head or stop before he reacts and tries to get back into the game. I know some people disagree but a lot of other people have also seen it. So he’s either a lazy bastard, which the season before would suggest he isn’t, or mentally he’s not in the game.

I’ve seen him play well. I’ve seen him try harder than he is now. But mentality is about keeping doing it when things aren’t so good, not seen that.

You can talk about a top mentality all you want but i’ve not seen any of that on the field.

I don’t think it’s a body language thing, it’s effort. For the goal on Sunday his effort to get the ball back after he lost it was awful and earlier in the thread someone mentioned he gave up on a ball and Livramento ran past him to get it.

When someone is stood up the pitch, lying down or walking back when we’re under pressure you can see that easily from 100 metres away and he does it every game.

He’s probably on three times as much money now as he was a year ago. Going to any club that could afford him he would want more money and I can’t see him anyone paying him it.

Barnes has scored nearly as many league goals as Gordon did last season in half as many starts and is getting moved to accomodate him playing like this. Baffling.

I expected it to change a bit but for people not to be bothered I don’t understand. They’ve got all the money in the world. Do it right and take care of it rather than changing it because it looks funny on a website.

Fair enough but in 55 years of support they’ve worn that badge for 37 years of it. Becomes part of it for me.

No matter when you were born this is the badge the club has had for the longest period of time. Surely that means something.

If it’s the crest we’ve had for the longest time in the history of the club is it not the crest?

It’s weird how many people don’t care about the badge, the ground or what the shirt looks like. What part of the club do you care about?

Champions League final is at Wembley so often because it makes so much money being in London. Can’t see them going anywhere else in England.

If the bus is only taking half an hour and people are following it up the start of it might be the quietest bit.
