  1. I think the queue did sort of make it a case of people who really wanted a ticket got one. I know some people just couldn’t be around at a certain time for whatever reason but other people will have made the effort to do it, like queuing up outside in the old days. It’s no effort now so very easy to just apply and see what happens even if not that arsed.
  2. Likes of Liverpool and Man Utd have so many people wanting to get to games 37 quid for a sniff of getting in won’t stop a lot of them. Those games could be a nightmare.
  3. Must be issues with having the right number of seats available doing it through a ballot and people picking seats. Could have a group of 3 or more being allocated tickets then logging on to buy and isn’t that number togther there any more. No idea where you’d be sitting at an away game.
  4. I don’t think it’s fair but, for most clubs, season tickets are a way to get money in quicker and have guaranteed income. Benefit for season ticket holder is paying less than match by match tickets for paying early. Were never supposed to be used by multiple people but was no way to stop it and they wanted to sell more so didn’t want to try. I’d be of the opinion that they’ve given me the option to buy it so I can give it to whoever I want but think it’s always been the case it should only have been used by one person.
  5. Guess the club will say you were never supposed to use a season ticket like that and they just let people do it because they wanted to sell as many as possible.
  6. You need to click on the owner and assign them to someone
  7. With a stadium right in town we don’t need any facilities other than corporate stuff. Can eat or drink anything you want within about 1000 yards of the ground. Can’t do that anywhere else, though Everton looks like it will be the best of the other grounds. Baffles me why anyone is eating or in there for longer than a quick pint before kick off.
  8. Every new stadium in the last 20 years has been talked about as having better acoustics for atmosphere. All total bullshit.
  9. Atmosphere rubbish, too big usually, seem to be different people there probably because of the prices. People moan now about people leaving before half time, coming back late etc and it’s even worse at somewhere like Spurs with people sat eating doughnuts and fish and chips while game is going on.
  10. Think i’d stop going when they move. All these new grounds are good to go once a year but wank otherwise.
  11. Do need to increase revenue but i’d want to see an advert on every piece if of tat castore sell and every advertising board in the ground with something on it before tickets increase.
  12. Putting up prices 10% is a decent hike for normal people and the extra money probably pays the players wages for a week. Is just no need to do it.
  13. Me and my brother have a season ticket each. I never use the membership bit and he does. If they change it I save £30 and he pays the £30 and does exactly the same. Doesn’t help anyone else getting in.
  14. Where are you moving these people to? Go to the East or Milburn and your ticket is going up £200+, struggling to get a few together or going upstairs. And if people as old as suggested that’s not a particularly good option.
  15. There isn’t an excuse. It’s fine. I can understand the younger lads thinking it could be better and wanting to improve it but for people who’ve been going a long time I think they’re harking back to an atmosphere that was never actually there.
  16. Someone having a heart attack during the game tends to dampen at atmosphere I think.
  17. I go every week and totally disagree with you so that shows how worthless both of our opinions are.
  18. I suppose my point is it makes no difference how good you, or I, think it is. Players, managers, home and away, say how good it is and we’ve all seen how it can affect opponents, not all the time but often in big games. When you’re somewhere regularly you notice the shitter bits more but demanding change might affect what we already have.
  19. We’ve lost one home game in about 18 months but we’re a soft touch and should be more like Wolves where it’s so bouncing they get fucked every other week.
  20. Liverpool fans sat down in the safe standing bit next to the away end.
  21. I would have thought so but maybe Gallowgate not a runner with possible extension coming. Be a real blow to me as that turnstile is perfect, never a queue, can rock up 5 minutes to kick off.
  22. Same so every chance that’s where they’re thinking.
  23. If anyone wants to go and didn’t get one could use my email. Doesn’t interest me but know a lot keen for it.
  24. We played a champions league qualifier with about 10,000 empty seats 20 years ago never mind the atmosphere being loads better. It’s total bollocks.
  25. Fair enough. I’ve never come away from Old Trafford or Anfield thinking we need an atmosphere more like that.
