What time are you getting there? We walk up by the East stand and the Gallowgate corner and all of the East Stand and Leazes corner are massive queues. East Stand always used to have a bit of a queue but never used to be a queue Leazes corner. Is now though and it’s getting worse every week rather than better.

3pm Saturday kick offs are always wank unless it’s a massive game. Great for away fans who are out all day but the majority of home fans once they get to 30+ have something to do before or after, kids football, have to get somewhere after etc. And having to queue for 20 odd minutes to get in pisses everyone off just when they’re looking forward to seeing the game.

No. I’m just saying we have no idea what the owners will do with a manager when things take a turn for the worse because we haven’t seen it.

I don’t think we’re in a bad run but we have no idea about any of that. Anyone other than the owners saying he isn’t under pressure means nothing.

Is no way any normal person would sack him but we have no idea yet how the owners will react to a bad run.

They’d do well to tell people that if it is. From what i’ve read on here it’s 7% corporate, 7% staff and 1% ballot. But for Spurs and PSG over 20% was gone the minute they went on sale.

The guy in his post said doesn’t like being surrounded by people swearing and that have been drinking. Even in the most well behaved away end that’s exactly what is going to happen.

You know everyone is going to be stood up, so they’ll see nothing, and the vast majority have been drinking all day. No idea why you’d put you kid into that.

Think taking a ten year old to away games is insane to be fair.

And the main reason the away ends have been shit is because we won half of our away games last season and we’ve won two this season. Both have been talked about as being good away ends. Just realised this is the Trippier thread so apologies.

I don’t agree with the ticketing policy for away games now but it hasn’t helped anyone other than season ticket holders with low points (maybe friends of players/staff as well). Other than the 1000 they sold last year they’re still people who’ve been going for an extended period of time. It does seem a bit different but cutting down on people passing tickets on is what most wanted when it became harder to get tickets. It lacks some flexibility but other than that don’t think they could have done much else. Don’t know the home system as well, seems baffling that loyalty isn’t taken into the equation there, but when you’ve got people saying they’re desperate to go and can’t now knocking back tickets because they’re not in the right area of ground maybe they don’t want to go as much as they say they do.

Can hear what Trippier is saying back but can’t hear him on videos i’ve seen.

We don’t even know what the bloke has said. Trippier has been brutal in the last four away games.

Overhead a conversation in the airport today. “Load of dickheads go now so i’m not going to go as much. But we used to be those dickheads and we just don’t like the new ones doing it”. Thought that summed it up quite well.

The away games in the league i’ve seen or heard plenty of people who it seemed like hadn’t been to many games. But it wasn’t like that last night.

That is how it is though

Brighton, West Ham, Wolves and Bournemouth are the worst away games of the season and had them in a row near enough. With CL games as well around the same time wouldn’t be surprised if it was a bit more back to normal after Bournemouth as people been happy to give them a miss.

I’m amazed at the amount of people that would rather not go than just take any seat offered like.

The flags have been magnificent, think it’s brought a bit of a togetherness again between the players and fans, but the atmosphere is good if it’s a massive game, we score early and get on a roll or most have been out all day. PSG had all three of those, Dortmund lacked two of them. The atmosphere is always dependent on the the game rather than the flags or the standing area.

Was there any indication how many applied to move into the standing bit over the summer?

Away teams in europe have always had a section down there.
