Ps - I love Almiron and his work rate (and character) ….but his one footedness is a big weakness Trippier plays some lovely balls into almirons path to cross 1st time or shoot (but he has to cut back and the momentum has gone)

Gordon is better than Almiron I think this will become evident if we sign him. As for likeability (it’s literally chalk n cheese) I think Gordon under Howe would flourish (under lampard he has went backwards) I still think we could get better than Gordon but I trust Ashworth / Howe / Scouts. The only link I don’t like is Mctominay (as I think he is just a Scottish longstaff) without the likeable fact longstaff is a Geordie IF we did sign Mctominay it would be interesting to see if he could fit in and develop. I would prefer / love (Kone) at CDM

Regardless of all the media / social media talk we have to sign players either in this window or next to be ready for European football. Chelsea , Liverpool , Both Manchester clubs , Arsenal , Spurs will always look to spend and improve. All with varying success it has to be said. If we want to stay up and challenge for Durose every year we will have to do the same Law of averages suggests teams with higher quality players / larger wages tend to be near the top (averaged out) This will take time but if we want to be serious about challenging it’s inevitable we have to start (upping) the calibre of players Not saying they all have to be elite (as we all know Eddie can get the best out of players) and it’s not all about individuals. What I am basically saying is ……Exciting times ahead if what the owners say they want to do (becomes a reality)

Yes it was , after kick off it went flat sporadic singing (followed by huge periods of nothingness) I was in the gallowgate and certain areas tried to give it a go but overall felt quite flat. We are light years behind German / Polish teams when it comes to atmosphere during the match. Strange as we have a team giving it everything, owners doing everything, Wor flags (tremendous) ….yet 3/4 of the crowd happy to sit in silence
