  1. Arnautovic to Man Utd would definitely be the most surprising move of the summer window. I would have him here as backup for Wilson and I think he'll do okay for Man Utd. Rabiot on the other hand would just be a second-rate Pobga, a passenger during most matches.
  2. I think that it will be harder to make predictions this season because the WC break in December. Some players will likely return from the WC exhausted or injured while those who remain will maybe need friendlies to stay fit. Premier League: Winners: Man City Runners Up: Liverpool 3rd-6th: Tottenham, West Ham, Chelsea, Arsenal Relegation: Leeds, N. Forest & Everton Newcastle United Where will we finish?: 9th Top Goalscorer?: Bruno
  3. I'm genuinely surprised that we managed to sign him especially with AC Milan showing interest. Last year Brentford were beating us to the signing of Ajer who was one of our main transfer targets. Now if we can bring in a striker or right winger, I'd consider this window as a success
  4. CL football. He currently holds the CL All-Time goal record (excluding goals scored in Qualifying rounds), one of the rare records he has over Messi. So he'll definitely move to a CL team try to defend it.
  5. Hu-go Hu-go Ek-i-ti-ke Hu-go Hu-go Ek-i-ti-ke Hu-go Hu-go Ek-i-ti-ke Na Na Na Na Na.... (To Boro's Pigbag song)
  6. I agree that St Maximin can be frustrating at times but he is still one of our best players. The fact that most of our attacks are down the left is proof that we are over reliant on him. If we can get a similar threat on the right wing then I'd expect St Maximin to get more goals and assists
  7. Our defenders aren't that bad defensively but they are average or poor in other areas which limits how we can set up and play. They've improved under Howe and are ok in possession but aren't great. Sometimes they can give the ball away cheaply especially under pressure. They're also getting older and slower, so we usually can't push up and press teams effectively because we could get caught with a simple ball over the top. Also our fullbacks rarely contribute anything in attack barring Trippier...
  8. Some people on here were saying that both Burnley and Everton wouldn't even reach the 35pts mark. Glad that we're already on 40+ points or we would've got dragged in the scrap given our remaining fixtures.
  9. It's funny reading posts from 3 months ago and now. What a difference some astute signings can make but most importantly a manager who isn't clueless. I feel stupid now for having doubted Eddie & Co.. Onwards and Upwards from now on
  10. I changed my vote from a 9 to a 4. 3 wins and 3 draws is a realistic haul from 12 games and I think that we will achieve this given our current form. My only worry is that our easiest fixtures left are all away: Everton, Norwich and Burnley.
  11. I think it was brilliant man management to stick with the same CB pairing and midfield. Most managers would've chosen the easy route and just put all the new signings in the starting 11. I think that he knows that we need quality in key areas but we also need some of the old guys to up their game if we want to stay up.
  12. We need a Lingard type player or another pacy striker. Etikite is a waste of money given our position.
  13. Can't blame him for the awful squad he inherited but he hasn't managed to work on our weaknesses.
  14. Haven't heard of any links to Real Madrid players like Bale, Jovic, Isco or Mariano Diaz in recent weeks? ?
  15. I thought that we looked good in patches with some good movement and give and goes however our weaknesses far outweigh our strengths. We tried to play from the back but with our poor passing we gave the ball away in dangerous areas. Our defence too was all over the place in the 2nd half. If we are to survive, Eddie will definitely have to sort the defence out and find a proper balance of attacking vs defending. We'll also need ASM and Willock to find their form and finishing of last season.
  16. I know that I'm being pessimistic but I think it will also depend how other teams in the relegation battle perform. I'm also a bit worried about our squad depth. We'll need ASM, Wilson & Dubravka to remain fit until the end of the season or maybe until we strengthen in January.
  17. Still on a 9. I am more relaxed after the 3 points and especially the cleansheet. Our football wasn't great at times but we created enough chances to win a game and were resolute in defence. We have 4 tough fixtures coming next. If we manage 4 to 6 points then I might move from a 9 to a 7.
  18. Voted 9 and that we'll be relegated. We've already played all the promoted teams and we haven't managed to beat any of them. I'm also not seeing any spirit or urgency from the players. I know that we shouldn't be panicking yet but we need to show more grit and resolve. Unless we can sign a few players in January and who can have the same impact as Willock had last season, we'll sleepwalk to relegation.
