Strangely watching the game as a neutral I’m finding myself wanting Liverpool to win as I fucking hate Chelsea with the way they’re buying all players - at senior and acedemy level.

He’s going to get plenty of starts this season as they’ll be rotation - especially with him and barnes hitting it off so well on the pitch.

I quite like the idea of hitting cup early rounds with a team made out of the likes of Anderson, livermento, longstaff, willock - that seems like a strong setup. Also I don’t think we should loan him out personally as we’re gonna have a lot of games and three games are gonna run on a lot longer with the new rules so let’s not get ahead of ourselves after one good win.

And they’ll continue to play him down right until the England job is available in my opinion.

People at work with genuinely said “he’ll take you down like he did with Bournemouth” forgetting he started on a team with something crazy like minutes 21 points and got them not only safe but finishing twelfth that season. He then marched them through the leagues and kept them top flight for a long while.
